the best fmx ramp.
heyhey.
i'm looking at buying an fmx ramp.
i've been racing for a while, and am comfortable hitting dirt hits.
ive never hit a ramp before so i'm a beginner, but i'll learn very quickly so what something to keep me interested when i've learned the jump inside and out. so i want something with a good amount of pop and distance, but not something that is going to be so advanced i'm going to have it all on just hitting the ramp.
i plan on starting with something like a 10ft gap and then moving it back to about 50-60ft after i feel confident on the ramp.
i was told the distler ramp would be good, but i can't any information on it, so if anyone knows anything about them could you help?
i was also told the REV 1 was an okay ramp but won't really work over farther than a 45ft gap, and i might get a little bored on it after a while.
i was also told the rev 2 and 3 might throw me a little aggressively for a beginner.
as you can see i need a little bit of help, and some second opinions.
oh yeah, could you also tell me a some dimension etc, as the guy i've been in contact with said he can make me anything for the same price, and has been helpful on what i should be looking for, but i'd just like to see what everyone else likes to ride etc.
thanks for your help, lewis.

Re: the best fmx ramp.
Anyways i have no clue about buying ramps. All the Ramps i have jumped were custom built by a friend of mine... I can maybe get some dimensions for you though but i dont see them much anymore they are always on the road doing shows.
Re: the best fmx ramp.
don't worry about going out of your way to do it.
what i'd like to know is the standared deminsions of most ramps.
and if the rev 2 and 3's will be too agressive for the begginer?

Re: the best fmx ramp.
dude a ramp is going to be as "aggresive" as you make it...you can make any ramp launch you as far as you want to an extent... i mean it might have more of an angle on it but still its all about how fast you hit it, if you have been racing for a while you know that, just be careful and whatever ramp you decide to get or have someone make for you make sure you feel it out before you go for a big gap obviously
Re: the best fmx ramp.
hey photo how do you like that dr350 I see those things all the time I could get one dirt cheap. Are they super heavy? how reliable? power? you like to stunt it? anything I should look out for?
Re: the best fmx ramp.
you can do 60ft gaps with the rev 1 no problem
over the years we built 3 ramps based off the "rev 1" ramp plan. Changed it a little bit after the 1st time but yes. Your in the UK so i don't know how hard it is to acquire a ramp, but i would build one
