Anyone running the new Racing905 subcage?
Re: Anyone running the new Racing905 subcage?
If i lived near Racing 905 I would forget about the money i just spent on my brand new never installed (cause it doesnt even come close to fitting) fairing stay, and throw it through there front window!!!!!! Not to mention i waited forever for it even though they had it in stock!!! Dont waste your money!
Re: Anyone running the new Racing905 subcage?
I have nothing against 905 but I had there cage on my f4i and before I ever laid it down welds started to crack just from engine vibration. Within about 6 months I rewelded almost every weld.
Then I decided to try powers. I ordered a cage and subcage and paid for overnight shipping because stuntfest was a week away. They said it would be there no problem. I ended up getting it about 3 months later after hearing dozens of excuses. The cages are tough as hell though. I didnt care for the sub-cage though.
On the other hand I ordered a sprocket from sick they said it would be a few weeks and it took about a week so I would probably go with sick.

every ******* time.
"**** 905" just recently my boy payed out the *** for a 03-04 636 upper fairing stay from them, only to recieve it almost 3 weeks later and not to mention it appears that the new ones are being made out of the same thickness material as the heating and cooling vents in my house, and to top it all off the piece off **** didnt even fit in the square intake opening in the 636's frame and would of required the removal of more then an 1/8" of metal via a grinder to get it to fit.....talk about poor craftmanship mabey powers and racing 905 should join forces for the ultimate joke in the stunt community well know for their 3 legged turtle slow shipping and 6 year old welding and fitup skills my son can draw better welds than they put on their products....and best of all they will stay in business because there will always be a neverending sea of squids out there to keep buy useless low quality overpriced stuntparts!!!

my si cage is the most amazing thing ever! Completely indestructable and my db's have never touched the ground. I had a 03 fixxer. pos, but i bought a 905 upper stay. the thing was a joke, a huge joke. I wish i had a pic of it. THe MIRROR mounting holes(or whatever) were just two 1/4 wires with a tab welded on top. You could grab the fairing on either side of the windscreen and just push it into the triple clamp, without tryin hard. it was like they set out to make an upper stay 10X weaker than stock, and 3X heavier. NO EXCUSE

i run 905 and i like mine a lot. nice and strong and plenty of clearance for rear rim. and same for upperstays. why would u rule them out? cause a couple of kids that prolly dont know what there talking about and are trying to jump on a band wagon? yes sick makes good ones too. i just like 905 better.

I would just like to add my two cents..
I had a 905 on my f4i back when i started. It held up good and i abused the **** out of it..it eventually broke..
I have a sick on my 636 and think its taken alot MORE abuse and still good condition.
I have a 905 fairing stay on my 636..it is not very well made..after a crash its never broken just bended a lil..and i would just reach down bend it back and get back to work.. I'm giong to swap it out with my johnnyP soon.
As far as subcages go i have no experience with 905, but for solid pegs my powers works great
