Re: Seat stands

im in the same boat and i think that it is cuz we are not high enough yet, I can scrape but fall off most of the time... the few times i have hit bp its like i can control the bike but if you chase the front wheel, well thats when i bust mah ***... clutch it up front dead stop right before bp then blip (smoothly) back to bp then catch idle and ride the brake to control your hight
im not seasoned pro by any means but that has helped me...

I learned SS last year without a HB. A little risky but not unreasonable. I finally invested in one for this year, but i have yet to use it on the street. If you've learned proper throttle control and use engine brake correctly, the HB is only there as last resort.

Re: Seat stands

I think it's easiest if you just don't think too much about it. Just put one finger on the clutch, one on the the hb, hop in the seat and pop it up. If you get used to this on the rear pegs or while FIB you won't have a problem when you move to SS.
Don't think so much about foot placement or the clutching process. If you know how to clutch it up from a stand still that part's gonna come to you naturally. Just jump up there and do it. The more seat time you have the easier **** gets.
