Did you guys ever have any bad experiences with bikes rolling away on the fast idle after the rider fell off? (What I call the involuntary ghost ride) It happened to us a few times with semi-bad consequences but I realize it could have been alot worse.

 

it happened to James from reckless endangerment down here about a year ago... he scraped and fell off the back.. bike landed and rode away down the entire length of the warehouse where Jesse from Redline Extreme hopped on and saved it. You can see the whole thing in there video. It was pretty

 

you could always go with a kill switch with a long cord for when you are doing the fast idle tricks .

 

I've seen several people recently doing that... Good idea, but I know I'd get lazy about using it

 

Jeremy from east coast wxtremes fell doing a circle wheelie and the bike landed upright and rode 100ft into a fence at like 15 mph- minimal damage but pretty funny. Now he has a kill switch on it.

Yeah I put a switch like that on my bike after seeing my friends bike crash into his parked truck. I tried to flip the engine switch off as the bike rolled by me but it was going too fast so I missed it. Now me and him both have kill switches.
