Re: I hate Kane
People give respect for riders accomplishments on the bike. Not for how many sponsors they land. Kane is doing good with sponsors, and always bragging about how many bikes he has etc. Yet he has never made a vid for stuntlife that made peoples wigs crack, ever. Many people including myself have made vids that opened peoples eyes to new tricks and new possibilities on the bike, people show respect, and that is what fuels me the others who do so. Its pretty obvious what Kane spends most of his time doing as one side is shining much more than the other.

Re: I hate Kane
I said it b4 all those sports u just mention got a market for their product, mainly kids. Thats who they're aiming for. The kids go out to the store buy their scateboards, snowboards, basketballs, bmx bikes, dirt bikes and all the gear that goes along with it. thats how companies make money, by selling products.
competitions are mainly just a means of advertising what they have to offer in a real world setting. Theres no product to be sold by stunting beyond it being entertainment, after watching a show, a kid cant tell their dad, hey dad i wanna go to walmart to get the sick x, y, z stuntbike and pick up a subcage and 3rd brake from the accesories department, thats the main diferrence between this sport and all the others out there. (for that matter the best stuntbikes arent even manufactured anymore so why advertise them? to help used bike sellers?)
Oh and to address your other "point" If stunt riders get factory sponsors, they aren't going to give them old *** bikes, they are going to give them NEW ****..... Kane is rockin BRAND NEW bikes. Not old Kawi's, so how would that help used bike dealers?

Re: I hate Kane
ha...you know what I mean dude. people are typing long *** pages trying to sound all smart and professional. this is being taken too serious in here. People that stunt should be doing it for fun and being around good people....thats all im saying....not everyone is gonna get picked up.
Re: I hate Kane
I agree... I'm definitely not trying to sound smart... I'm a dumb ************.. LoL but I'm just saying that IMO this sport has plenty of room to grow. And of-course not everyone is going to get picked up.. Thats how every sport is... Its all about the best and sometimes most popular riders.....

then shut the *** up.
You dont know me u dumb ***, Im set and as of 02/13/09 Im already exactly where i want to be in life. If i were interested in making additional money I would go out and get a job.
I really don't know what point you're trying to make here, but im sure the 4 or 5 people who come in to buy street bikes arent coming in to by them because of stunt riding. that figure would be more like 1 in 20 or even much less. stunters make up a very small percentage of riders out there. maybe you should have asked them why they were purchasing a motorcycle.
dude its either ur slow, or ur just really slow, read what you just wrote and answer me these questions.
1. how would a kid know what dirtbike his favorite stunter rides? most stunt riders only *** around on dirtbikes in their spare time! They dont show up to comps and compete on a dirtbike. i.e Thats why they look to motorcross, to see what dirtbike their favorite motorcross rider is riding!
2. Why would they come out with a BMX signature series based on a whole different genre of cycles? Once again thats why the x games exist so they could go out and buy whatever bmx bike there favorite BMX rider rides.
3. There are already remote control motorcycles of which i have a few which i collect, but as soon as you jesse jacobs figure out how to make the Kane's stuntbike rc bike which does endos, burnouts, circle wheelies acros and whatever else there is to do, i can assure you i will be the first one lined up to buy it. How the hell ur gonna make an rc to do that ****, i dont know, but when u figure it out just let me know.
You know what I dont even know why responded to this **** because the reasoning behind what ur trying to say is so irrational. basically ur trying to say they should invest in stuntbike riding, then put the names of the stuntbike riders on other fields of sport. ur essentially trying to say that if they come out with a jeff gordon formula 1 car, the people who go to the store to buy formula one cars will just grab em off the shelf. the one problem with that which u apparently fail to see is that jeff gordon doesnt drive formula 1 cars, he drives nascar, so you cant cross brand items and just hope that enough jackasses out there will go out and buy them just for the hell of it. Maybe its a little over your head what im trying to say, but thats like putting HRC stickers on a suzuki and expecting people to buy the suzukis because they like hrc products.
Is that what i said, or is that just ur interpretation of what i said? U need to keep ur lid on when ur riding, cuz u must have banged the sense out of it!
I never said sponsors would give old bikes to riders. I said that stunt riders know that the older bikes are better suited for stunting. Both the stunt riders and the manufacturers are aware of this fact. So there really isnt a market for a whole bunch of people to go out and buy the new zx6, 600rr, gsxr600 or r6 from the dealer because they want to get into stunting. They know that stuntriders arent going to come out to the dealerships to buy their new bikes. Only a very few of us actually do that. So then why would they try to advertise there product to a market who isnt going to buy it?
The point i was making is this.
Companies sponsor people so that they can sell their products. No new sportbike is made with the stuntrider in mind. They are all designed for racing, and are all far more difficult to control (stuntwise) than older model bikes (like the piece of **** ur riding).
So when u see a company like kawasaki sponsor kane, they are not doing it for the typical reasons of generating direct sales they are only doing it in a broader brand loyalty advertising sense for superficial reasons more than anything else. It isnt product specific advertising in their eyes. So yeah maybe the other manufacturers would pick 1 or 2 people like Kawi did just to say they got it covered 2. But if u think its ever gonna be at the point where they start having leagues to see which company produces the best stuntbike then ur way off, because the bikes arent produced with that in mind. there made to compete on a track. So racing on the other hand is a product specific advertising field. If the 600rr wins races then people by the 600rr, thats what there trying to accomplish by building it that way.
Like i said stunt riding has no product to sell beyond its entertainment.
Maybe rather that jumping on every thread and trying to find something slick to say, you should try to focus and really analyze & understand things before you open ur mouth because it seems like you completely missed everything that was said in that previous post.
and on a personal note, the worst thing to do is ever to make an assumtion about a person u simple minded mudafuka.
PS: after re-reading what you wrote about the kids buying dirtbikes because of what there favorite stuntbike rider rides. If u mean they would buy a kawasaki dirtbike because their favorite stuntrider rides a kawasaki aswell then that makes more sense. But it still falls under the brand loyalty argument as explained earlier and isnt suffiecient enough reason to spend significant resouses in a specific field. the factory only need 1 or 2 riders to cover that field as explained earlier and they would not go beyond that. but ur still a simple minded mudafuka.
First off, LoL sCateboards? Really? Anyways, look at how many squids are out there buying up bikes every day!! There are just as many adults buying "Toys" as there are kids... I used to work at a motorcycle dealership and watched 4 or 5 people a day buy street bikes.. and I'm sure thats happening everywhere... And that was 4 years ago... Bikes are twice+ more popular now!!
Why couldn't kids wanna buy up action figures, video games, t-shirts and even if they wanted to get a small dirtbike, they could get whatever brand their "favorite rider" is riding...? Either way, that company is making money... I'm thinking outside the box bro.. Kids don't have to go out and buy a sport bike, they could start making bmx bikes that are signature series..... Here's a great example... MONSTER TRUCKS! Adults don't even buy those but they are beyond popular? Explain that one? They make remote control trucks, all kinds of **** that both kids and adults buy... Same thing with rally cars....

you're one literal *** mudafuka (no offense its just an expression) you miss the big picture and the point being made and just literally focus on the words u see not understanding whats trying to be said.
Either way good luck making it ....... when it goes mainstream! lol I'll chk back with u in 5 years to see where ur at.
U sound exactly like the type of person im talking about. with blind dreams. I said it b4 all those sports u just mention got a market for their product, mainly kids. Thats who they're aiming for. (for that matter the best stuntbikes arent even manufactured anymore so why advertise them? to help used bike sellers?)
The only market for stunt riding is and unfortunately will always be limited to stunt riders and the very few parents who may actually try to get their kids into it (and even with this market, not many people actually go out and buy some new **** to stunt on). So thats why there will always be limited investments by sponsors etc, sure they may kick a lil something to get their name out there, because its advestisement for them regardless, but if you waiting for the day that this ***** gonna blow up and get huge, then don't hold ur breath.
Me, I'll keep riding for fun, you go ahead and make it big, let me know how that works out for ya! just dont quit ur day or in ur case night job!

Re: I hate Kane
The otown boys didnt make any money off of stuntshine state or otown throw down. in fact i barely managed to turn any kind of profit off either movie after you consider the costs of travelling around florida and everywhere else to film the movies, each film took about a year to film and i easily spent 20k or more throughtout the year for all the expenses on each film and then i had to spend thousands more for duplication. No one helped me finance the films in anyway shape or form and there for when i stand to maybe make 5-10k profit for a years worth of work there really just isnt any money to go to the riders. I put an incredibly large amount of time into the filming of the movie, the editing, and all other marketing and advertising that was done. I wish that someday i have a huge budget for a film and i can find the 10 best riders and pay them all $1000 each to work with me for a weekend and film not stop like a real movie is made. I tryed to do something like that with Colbert but he is waaaaay to cheap to give any money to riders even though he makes 6 figures off every judgment day. When left Colbert and went on my own to make Stuntshine state i quickly realized i would never make as many sales as Judgement day and i would never make any real crazy money like colbert and be able to pay riders to perform in films. Maybe 1 day when sales pick up and i make 40k from a movie i can hand down some money. But to this day i have barely been able to keep a roof over my head trying to make these films. Unfortunetely i did not live close to anyone and had to travel 4-5 hours roundtrip to otown everytime i filmed.
NOW....for UNTOUCHABLE:
Jorian and I are 50/50 partners for the project, we are splitting all costs 50/50 including all travel expenses and duplication costs, he is putting in as much work as i am and for that i am happy with the 50/50 agreement. Jorian is not just a rider that i have to follow around and hope to catch good shots of.....he is working directly with me on creating new tricks, new camera angles and there is much more of an actor/director relationship which will give us major results. i have brought alot of new equipment to the table including a huge camera crane and dolly tracks for sick camera work. jorian is completely devoted to creating many new tricks and combos every time he rides. This film will have completely legal soundtrack with all the proper licensing. This will allow us to take this project to film festivals and be elligible for some main stream distribution aswell as selling on TV. I hope to take this project further then any stunt film has ever gone and I believe Jorian is the perfect rider to be working with. Jorian and I will split all profits 50/50 and hopefully draw some world wide interest for this film.

x100 Re: I hate Kane
I dont have anything better to do when im in FL. I love riding my bike, I love looking at people kill it on their bikes aswell. I just dont understand why people get so offended when you point out that the progression of stuntriding as a viable sport, is limited by the nature of what it is. Of course i would like to see it get as big as motorcross or even as big a racing but the reality is that its gonna be very difficult to get it to move beyond a certain point thats all. But when u say something like that then an ******* like jesse jacobs always has to jump out the wood works and say oh ur trying to hold everyone else back because you cant get anywhere and **** like that which I just dont even see how the two things are related. That why in real life the two things i avoid doing is giving people unsolicited advise, or point out to them if there about to make a mistake because most people are always quick to get defensive when they hear anything that sounds like criticism.
Re: I hate Kane
No, I got defensive because you said "I was just like the people you were talking about, with "BLIND DREAMS"
Thats not a cool thing to say to anyone, no matter what there "dreams" are.... Your obviously miserable, and want other people to be miserable with you....
Your a chode.... LoL
