Probably because he drove all the way from ocala, placed well and then didnt get paid what you said you were going to pay. Im not hating on you or your event because I had a lot of fun, you seemed like a pretty cool guy, I know first hand how hard it is to run an event and Im glad to see some more comps popping up and trying to help push the sport but if you didnt have the money in your pocket to payout the promised payouts before hand you shouldnt have advertised any payouts at all. Should have just let everyone know upfront they are riding for fun and IF you made enough you would pay them. I think Joel and the other riders are being VERY nice about all of this.

 

i'd rather an award/throphy... we do local stuff for the bikers like slow races burnout contests and stuff at bike nights, and we give out throphies for that, at least its something... not thanks for comin heres your money back...

 

i bet it took that rv pullin the full *** trailer more then 100 bucks in gas round trip

its not that im complaining, but just wondering afterwards what happened. after talking to a couple of people at bike week, they were told one thing , and you told me another, I was told how payouts were going to be , and you told them a month before the event that payouts were going to be based on how many riders competed in each event. Im not hating or anything , but you did give me back 125 bucks when i competed in 3 events, tandem was 50, indi was 25 and stoppie was 25. splitting tandem was suppose to be 175, stoppie was either 75 or 100 payout and ind it was suppose to be 75. so altogether that came to 325 or 350 depending how it went. so you told me that due to circumstances basically that we were getting our money back, was this before or after you paid a rider there full share of there winnings? i think it was full , maybe close to it but it def wasnt what they paid in to compete

 

correction: i said on how many spectators. basically i had to pull out of my own pocket a couple hundred bucks and i still owe the track for insurance and u know what i dont mind bein out of money right now cuz i know it will pay-off in the future. thanx again for comin out and workin with me! i appreciate it and i promise i will do what i can to everyone to make it up!
