try it and you'll see how diferent the bike is trust me. just dont say no to something you've never try.

 

im gonna try to take some pics of my throttlebody so u can see how to remove the 2° butterflys.
its very easy and u can always put them back if u thing it was better befor.

and someone posted a link for the set valve removal.

 

what cable do i use for the idle adjustmentmod thing i.e. whats it called and what models can i use

 

im not saying it probably doesnt work,i trust you on it...but how should I put it...."if it aint broke,dont fix it" is what im thinkingboth my k6's are pretty dialed without those mods right now...but i might give them a go when I get bored

 

virtually ANY idle cable will work AS IS..or can be MODDED to work

 

what bikes have hem cuz obviously mine doesnt?

and my bike is all apart and i looked at the throttle bodys and just from looking im guessing all you are doing is take the screws off that hold the plates to the little stick in the middle ? that way im guessing everything else is still attached all sensors still work and it just gets more air ?? amI right

 

yep u r right unscrew and remove. but its not just more air, if u see how those butterflys work u gonna see how the ECU has a delay on them them, totaly controlled by the ECU so when u turn your idle up those stay closed giving you the known weak gsxr idle.

Top ITB's butterflys closed still on ...

ITB's Half open , the ones you have to remove are the top ones.

No Top ITB's to remove them all you have to do is take the screws that hold them and pull them out the little rod that goes across. (DO NOT DROP THE LITTLE SCREWS IN THE THROTTLE BODY) lol that won't be good for the engine when you start it up.

 

How big is the difference really? Is this mod even worth doing?

I can't tell you yet my bike is in 300 million pieces im powder coating a bunch of stuff and won't be able to start the bike up and ride it for at least another week but as soon as I do I'll let you all know whats up with the throttle bodys mod ,
about the SET valve that made day and night difference on my bike on my 600 and 750 also , even tho the 750 idle is smoother than the 600 , for anybody thats got a k6 k7 I would deff. do the SET Valve mode its worth it

 

how do you do the clean air mod and the clutch switch mod???

 

clean air mod is pretty simple, if you got your bike apart you'll see 2 hoses go into the airbox, the 2 outlets on the box just close them and the 2 hoses that were going into the box just connect them to each other
