F4i setup
F4i setup
So just picked up an F4i, SI cage on! but needs some work for the spring. Its a lot only bike- no streets, but im new to the slow stuff-
1st- needs chain and sprockets- stock are toast. ??? best chain/sprok combo?
Second- right now the stock stay and gauge cluster are on, no headlights or fairing though, whats the best way to clean that up?
Johnny P stay with an acerbis light and plate covering it up? does that work?

Re: F4i setup
If your not going to run a fairing, then don't get a johnny p stay
Just bolt an acerbi directly to the fork
edit: but remount the gauges.. keep them hooked up.. It's good to know when you have oil pressure, fuel, if your bike is overheating, or if its throwing a FI light
not to mention, its a lot easier to be consistent when you can ALWAYS put your bike to a set rpm, and not guesstimate everytime

Re: F4i setup
but I usually mount my gauges on the frame rail, where the air intake is on the right side by the air box.. Then use a couple zip-ties to hold them on
keeps them out of the way for stunting, but in site so you can check them out

Re: F4i setup
I tried that, doesnt work well with the acerbis number plate i zipped tied mine to the triple and it's the most annoying thing ever, it's always slipping down. i need to try something else..
Re: F4i setup
Why your just going to loop it the first day out anyways
Smashed up gauges will just be more parts to pick up off the ground hahahaha...
I just hope this one doesnt look like that ZX9 when your all done...

Re: F4i setup
Im new to the slow stuff and i rock a vortex -1+8 and i love it, still works as a commuter too, but you dont need that. Get a streetfighter headlight and zip tie the guage to the frame next to the intake, works better when the ram air ports are gone if you didnt already rip those off
