Noob Question (Stoppies)

3 Noobie ?'s For you O.G. Ryders out there

1)What is the actual cause of head shake during stoppie?

2)Other than the obvious "Damper/Stabalizer" Are there other ways
to avoid getting this headshake?

3)Any Tips/Pointers for noob on f4i with mx bars and no damper?

Thanks all

im not an og but i roll a pretty good stoppie

1)you get head shake because your forks are not at the proper angle so they don't track right ..

2)dirt bars help because you have more leverage and your arms act as a damper [not a good one though ]
3) don't go any faster then about 45 with out a damper ..[some people do but your asking for trouble]

Re: Noob Question (Stoppies)

Isnt the main thing
1. stay centered on the bike best you can.
2. lock your knees to the tank (when learning to keep less weight off your arms and keep you centered)
3. lock your arms straight best you can. Arms bent will result in counter steering left/right.
4. keep your head up and looking forward.
This of course is just what I’ve read/seen, since I cant roll ****. So maybe Im way of basis.

if u know anything about rolling stoppies than that video is a packed full of Capt. Obvious statements. Bill D and Kyle woods seem really forced actors and very very hard to watch. I bought it as a joke for one of my boys at stuntwars and go too drunk and didnt give it to him.

So its kinda weak. If you know anything about rolling stoppies is it still informative? Or only for those who have no clue?
