r6 clutch arm mod?

has anyone successfully extended a 03-05 r6 clutch arm? it looks like you would have to extent the shaft then the arm in order to clear the case...

Re: r6 clutch arm mod?

i am talking about the arm that comes out of the clutch case that the cable hooks to. alot of people do this mod on f4is and rrs but the r6 arm points towards the case. i think i've got a way of don it. i'll post pics when im done.

i keep hearing horror stories about the ez-pull cable system so i dont want to run that.

Re: r6 clutch arm mod?

I use the ez pull lever system, not the cable system, had it on since 05 and never had a problem but i know what you are talking about. The ez pull box thing is garbage and it is because it is made for dirtbikes and the cable is thinner then the street bikes

That's bullshit I run the box and it's fine... Only people who have problems are morons who don't set them up right.... The cable might be smaller but they were designed for 450f which clucth pull is just as stiff as an r6 .... And it's made for an mx bike that is constantly being clutched hard......

Re: r6 clutch arm mod?

I think it could be pretty though to get the mod done, was thinking of doing it myself but the clutch arm is f-ing close to the case

I´ll guess you shoul have to point it in another direction if that´s possible

Re: r6 clutch arm mod?

i just looked at my friends bike today and i dont think this mod can be done. there is a little room but not enough to make a difference. I would just settle for the MSR easy pull

I looked at mine a long time ago and didn't figure it could be done either.
