Just watch 199 lives - Travis Pastrana

Re: Just watch 199 lives - Travis Pastrana
i dont see our sport going anywhere just because of its nature its more than just wheelies i knew alot of kids that rode/raced dirtbikes when they were kids and never got sportbikes and between watching motogp or XDL out of the two id rather watch mx racing or mx freestlye due to the dangerous side of it because in motogp you will see a guy high side once in awhile and people lowside and go into a sand pit. XDL or any stunt comp the only crash people would really be interested in seeing in a controlled area would be a high speed flipped stoppie. non the less nothing beats being in the air or crashing in the air just my
moto gp is more about the 200mph sliding corners sideways burning the rear tires off in ways most riders wish we could

Re: Just watch 199 lives - Travis Pastrana
im not gonna get into the whole will this sport go any where argument but we have factory sponsored riders on just about every make of street bike and there is a tv show that is hosted by a stuntrider not to mention two national stunt series that have alot of events most of the year [stuntwars and xdl]and a host of other events and shows ...
in my opinion this sport has gone some where already and has the potential of getting even bigger ..

you guys seem to be organizing really well, the liabilities are addressing themselves. The people working their asses off to promote and grow the competitive and exhibition sides of the sport deserve mad respect.

The core American audience for whom stunting has appeal has not been tapped, and trust me, people find excitement in far gayer sports.
MotoGP is hitting the mainstream European public. and is an established reputable sport so bigger industries are already involved.
I think you guys will get your chance.

MotoGP has a big following because it's packaged very well, and Europe in general embraces motorsports. the personalities are well marketed. people feel like they know these riders.

europe has tracks all over the place has multiple riding series that travel europe racing said track. they put kids on bikes at a way younger age. moto gp will never be sucessful in this country. plain and simple americans dont even know what it is and we had 2 races here in the US this year.

I don't think any of us push it to the point that we have "Night Terrors" from our suppressed fears
Makes me think again of Ghost Rider,.... Imortal Freestyle Rider by day, Hellfire by night.
