919 clean air?

So I have my 04 honda 919 and I see oil in the airbox I am afraid I will hydrolock if I don't fix my problem. I think I may just need to take the one from the back right side of the engine and connect it to the other two on the front of the engine with a T and then block off both of the airbox holes with some screw or just block it off with whatever works. I think that is the same concept as the F4I just one of my lines is on the right of the motor not the left, I just want to make sure first.

Here are the 4 photos

Take the tank off. And the airbox. Then snap some pics. I will check back later. I have things to do. But it is hard to tell for sure with everything still on the bike.

Re: 919 clean air?

Its a very popular 1980's streetfighter, one of the most well known stunt bikes in the world. duhhhh.. Well anyways I did the mod I have pic's up and I rode it down the road didn't feel different but I tilted it onto the ground lifted it up and sure enough when I started it back up there was a few burst of smoke out the exhaust when I would rev it some. The smoke wasn't much but it never smokes so I know this mod had to work. I took all 3 of the hoses that cam from the engine and either went in to the deleted piece or the airbox piece and connected them to a T then blocked off the airbox holes. The device they were previously hooked to had 2 wires coming off of it so I just disconnected it and pulled it off and put my T where it used to be. All pics of the completed mod are on my myspace under 919.

i cant believe how many people dont know what this bike is. Its a streetfighter with basically a FI 900rr motor that is tuned for more low and midrange power. Has budget suspension but one of the most fun streetbikes you will ever throw a leg over

Re: 919 clean air?

The suspension on it is pretty adjustable its not as budget as a lot make it out to be. It is a very very fun bike to drive, I have always loved the naked bikes and that is a huge selling point of this one is that it is naked with dual cans and dirtbike style bars. Looking at the bike all I could think was stunt and at first glance it doesn't look like something that anybody would make stock but this thing is a beast a mild exhaust really wakes it up. It is probably most known as a wheelie machine and for a stock bike the bp and torque to get you there is perfect if you don't mind some speed. Most people rev up and drop the clutch at like 8 on a normal sport bike. You just grab throttle at around 3k and you'll be on your *** by the time you think about the rear brake, that is if its your first time on the bike.

Re: 919 clean air?

Ok apparently the part being deleted is the "air injection control" I checked where the line's went on both bikes on schematics off of bike bandit and just made sure that the lines I modified were the same that were done on the f4i so I got it done. Probably the first 919 to ever have a clean air mod done to it.
