wheelies
new to this and wanted to no. are wheeles on a 250 ninja the same on a bigger bike or do i need to do something different like the rpms or air pressure or what hit me up please
thanks
thanks Re: wheelies
wheelies on every bike is the same concept. pull in clutch, rev up engine, release clutch = bike wheelies. now the exact timing, amount of gas and general feel of things will differ widely on the bike but all the basics are the same and that bike is very capable of wheelying in 1st and 2nd gear.

Re: wheelies
sweet thanks for reply was thinking that nobody was going to reply. and i dont know anything about bikes so when guys talk about sprockets have ten or whatever do i need to find out how many i have and get more or something
Re: wheelies
when it comes to sprockets you have 2 ways to go, add teeth to the rear or minus teeth to the front. both accomplish the same thing, adds torque and engine brake while decreasing top speed. its usually best to learn to wheelie on stock gearing as its a bit more forgiving and linear on the power a bit more controllable. however it doesnt hurt to add some mild gearing to a bike that doesnt have alot of power. how easy it will be to find gearing for that bike is questionable as its not a bike that many ppl change the gearing on but im sure theyre out there somewhere. youre average stunt rider will gear a 600cc bike +10 in the back, i personally only go +7 as i ride alot of street and really dont find i need anymore gearing than that, i can just as easily do anything i want on a stock geared bike but like to ease the strain on my clutch for the parking lot ****. if u went -1 +2 which is minus 1 tooth front and add 2 in the rear. that would be a good start to learn wheelies with while still keeping your bike streetable. for every tooth you go down in the front its = to about 2.5 teeth up in the rear. the advantage to a -1 +2 setup as opposed to just goin up 5 or 6 teeth in the rear is that you can keep ur stock chain length and save yourself some money as chains usually run about 100 dollars when u can get a front and rear sprocket for usually around 75 dollars. hope that helps.
