Got a question for everybody. My 04 gsxr 1000 struggles when I really get on it. It usually happens in the triple digits. I'll be in 3rd gear going over 100 mph and when I give it full throttle it doesn't pull hard like it used to. I changed the spark plugs thinking that might be the problem but still the same result. A buddy told me it could be my throttle bodies. The engine has about 30,000 miles on it so I don't know if it could be time for a new one. Any suggestions? I want my baby to purr like it used too. Help!!

 

is the FI light on? if so take to and get a test done to see what it is. my sensor on my 06 636 throttle body went out and of course they don't sell it alone so i had to get a new throttle body. or could be ur fuel pump

 

My FI light is not on but I forgot that my friend said it could be my fuel pump too. Either way I'll go and get it checked out. Thanx.

 

check if the fuel line from the gas tank is twisted,or restricted in anyway!!!

update your thread when you figure it out. I hate when people dont post the answers! If you wanted to check the general "condition" of the engine you can get a compression guage for cheap, or borrow one. Ive never done it to a bike but its cake im sure.

i had an 05 gixxer 750... any time i put anything less then 92 octane in it, it ran like that.
