whats the best hight to lift my truck? pics.

right so i have a 2000 dodge ram 1500 and have took it to a place called la supertrux by me today. they have a 2 month waiting list but am booking my truck to have it lifted new wheels and tires on it. im having matt black 17" micky tompson wheels with 34" tires and a 6 inch lift. it already has a 4" body lift. i wanna go higher so hes looking into it for me. anyone got any pics of there lifted truck and could you tell me how much its been lifted and that. cheers

my buddy has the same truck lifted 6'' on 35's and he has plenty of clearance. in my opinion take the 4'' body lift off, they look awful with that much space between the frame and body. if you want something to look good, with spending just a tad bit more money, do a 8'' lift on 37's

If you put 34s on a 10" lift your street queen will be one ugly bitch. Ditch the 4" and if you need a body lift for whatever reason, 2" should be the most you should use.

Not sure what your goal is but tires make the truck, not the lift. Too high a lift for your tires, you have one silly looking bucket. You have 37" mud or all terrain tires, you fucked yourself again. Another stupid looking truck.

Make your ride beefy, not some tall, slinky bitch.
Your problem with this is all the beefy tires are expensive as **** and your dodge is going to go through tires like nothing, unless you spit out a few more bills for the few badass tires that are radial..

For street queens, I personally like Nittos with the bigger rims.

Me, I rock a wrangler with a 12" lift and 39" boggers on satin 15" steelies. That is one sexy bitch.

EDIT, My 97 1500 has a 3" lift and 35s with no rubs. Just to give you a size comparison.

go more suspension then body... i hate body lifts 1-3 inches is alright

i think trucks look sweet with 4-6 inches

keeps the lift:tire ratio looking better

It's a purpose built rig. Not too pretty.
