I'm not arguing that. I've got several "toys" that will quickly deter any wanna-be thief from stealing from me and I won't hesitate to use them once they've been warned. What I was saying is, let's say your house gets broken into and they get away with your 60" plasma TV, 2 computers, the titles to everything you own, and they trash the place. Do you just say, "I'll get them next time" or do you call the popo?
I wouldn't call the popo cause all they'd do is make a report. Its not like the search for your **** or anything.
I say FTP, but at the same time when I deal with them I show some respect as long as they aren't ******* with me. I've been pulled over quite a few times for speeding (in a cage), running stop signs (more like Cali stops), **** like that, and I've never been ticketed. Not to mention I've been let off of a concealed weapons charge once for having a switchblade and a folder with a length exceeding that of the legal measurement. Nothing big at all sure but, if I woulda said "yeah its a stiletto, **** you", I'm sure I wouldn't have been let off. **** the ones who abuse their power and are ********, I get along with the ones who are just cool and out there to bust the real criminals that are killing people and slangin' rock to the kids. Just curious who you guys call when you get into a serious car/bike accident? Or someone breaks into your house/apt or steals your car/bike?
Not saying I've been treated the right way every time, and not saying I've stopped everytime either, but lots of people blame the cops despite the fact that their actions put them in that position.
I've been cut more breaks by being respectful and honest than by the "FTP" attitude. I got caught doing 157 in a 55 (just gotten my bike and before I started running). He could have easily hauled my *** off to jail, then I would have had my license pulled, etc. but because I didn't argue with him and made it clear that I understood I was wrong he only gave me a *Warning*. And that wasn't the only time.
And no, I'm not a cop. Just a fellow biker that thinks the "FTP" attitude doesn't help you out at all.

just stay off the streets, and be cool, most of the time they get complaint calls and they have to respond. in 5 yrs i have not gotton a single ticket from stunting. cops always say to me find a place to ride where no one can see you and we will leave you alone. if your being a ignorant dick and pissing people off you probably deserve a ticket haha.....

There are good cops to deal with and dicks...the ones we usually run into in RDG are usually decent...they'll come to the lot and watch for 20mins or so...they appreciate us keepin it off the street...but then again go 10miles down to the next PD and they just follow you for fun waitin for u to **** up...we've had them come haul *** with their lights on right behind us tryin to get us to run...we kept our cool and dint take off...then he switched them off and got off at the exit...that **** pisses me off...
all in all depends onthe cop if they're cool im cool..if not...ill b a dick...lol

to the guys that say they wont call the police for anything even if their **** was stolen.....i call 
. if ur car or bike was stolen, a police report would need to be filed for insurance claims...it doesnt even need to be stolen but most insurance companies these days require a police report for vandalisms as well, in order to repair your property.
also stolen goods with serial numbers/numbers are kept in a database and if a department runs into the stolen goods they can check to see if they are stolen...nationwide....not that i would want any of that **** back becuz its prolly all fucked up by then...
