I have a 954 frontend that i just put on my f4i . i was told that if i had my f4i rim machined to accept the 954 bearings that it would work . The proble i have now is that the f4i rotos are alot smaller then the 954 rotors and the brake pads barely contacting the rotor . does anyone know if 954 or 929 rotors will mount to an f4i rim ?

if i were you i would sell that frint end and go back to stock.. i hate the 954 fron on the f4i

i was told the rotors off a 954 will go on an f4i rim so i am going to try that the rim as already been machined to accept the 954 bearings and spacers i had it all together but the brake pads were only hitting half the rotor

 

f4i front end is much beter for stoppies on the f4i imo... the bigger front end looks beter but i dont think in anyway is a beter front for the f4i

 

no way the f4i front end sucks they have convetional forks with really shitty springs and internals and small brakes when i put my 929 front end on it was like night and day with the stopping power and rebound

 

put 200 bucks into a stock front end then come talk to me... 929 954 forks are not designed for the detentions of the f4i....

 

I love the feel of the 929 forks. Nice and low and wide. Only thing I dont like so much is the fork seals.

then put in the bearings and bolt her up

 

if you read the first post the bearings are not the problem it was the rotors not being big enough . my question was if the 929 or 954 rotors would fit on the f4i rim an di have been told that they would so i ordered them

and what do you know about stoppies pat?? lol f4i frontends are garbage...and to answer the original question.the wheels are the same except the bearing races are bigger. you have to use 954 rotors but they will bolt up the the f4i wheel.
