I like the steel for strength, how many lbs difference is it from the aluminum? I also love the price of steel....I am doing both right now for f4i just got the aluminum one started...found a American size that is thicker that will work....Also order the steel for making one that way to...just don't know how much weight difference....I am just doing it cause I have a machine shop and get board....If it comes out good I will give you guys what I used and you can make them...

You can get a steel stay for $150 or even less nowadays, but people are still buying my $250 TIG welded aluminum stays...
Johnny the reason people still buy your stays out of aluminum is cause they are they are better than the 905 and the rest of the chintzy **** out there.

Been gorilla scraping my 03/04 stock subframes for 4 years. I cracked one and it took about 3 years. I don't thing many people would buy them for the 03/04's

Good to know the 05/06 subframes will be available if I ever get one of those bikes.

I would say just like the 03/04 aftermarket rear sets are a must for stunting the
05/06 subframe with also be a must have item.

Re: SI Subframes Steel Or Aluminum?????

I'll take a steel subframe and use aluminum mounting bolts.
