Re: gp tech hb sucks donkey nuts

Sounds kike user error to me.

I've had like 4 of them of 4 different bikes and they've all worked good. Locks up the rear tire with 1 finger no problem.

And I'm still trying to figure out why people complain that they can't use the foot and the HB at the SAME time. When the hell do you ever need to use both of them at the SAME time?!?!

Re: gp tech hb sucks donkey nuts

i have always used the gp adapter, with a r1 master on all of my bikes, and it works great! you need to bleed your **** better, or get a better master!

p.s. this is the adaptor set up with a nissin master cyclinder. and stainless braided line.
You are talking about a completely different setup than the gptech adaptor. Yours works b/c it was designed to work that way. If you just add an adaptor to the stock rear master and a hb then you cannot use both at the same time. It does not work that way. I don't care how much you bleed it.

i got the gp tech set up right now with a 1000RR radial master but i wanna go to a daul cal set up. do i have to get another stock 636 caliper or can i just use a caliper off one of my old 600RRs for the second caliper? (regular dual cal set up. not the four piston)

yes you will need another stock 636 caliper if you do not go with the 4 piston.

but why would you not

werd son. i figured you would have that answer.
only reason i was asking is cuz i have a few 600RR cals laying around that i thought i might be able to use. or were you asking why i wouldnt go with the 4 piston set up. i should prob just go with the 4 piston set up if im gonna switch to dual cal huh?

Re: gp tech hb sucks donkey nuts

never had an issue with my gp tech(with 04 gix 600 radial master) or ftinc(with 05 brembo 13 mm radial master). Correct bleeding usually solves most HB issues imo

im sure this has already been said, but youre just a squid who doesnt know how to bleed their brake properly.

i sell adapter and everyone that have sold one to NEVER has this problem (of course i am speaking for my adapters, not GP Tech's).

Re: gp tech hb sucks donkey nuts

To the thread creator, learn to bleed your brakes, thats your problem. No pump up on mine, EVER. Not even between, you can give it a foot full of brake, grab the hand brake its rock hard, and let off hand brake and go right back to foot brake.

or you could put a hose clamp around it and never have a problem.
I've seen just as many FTI problems as GP tech problems...

I've had a gp tech setup for over 2 years, as well as a few of my friends

As long as you put a hose clamp around it, no problems

but in all honesty, I'd ask stock05 if he still sells hand brake adapters.. way cheaper then gp tech and FTI!

Re: gp tech hb sucks donkey nuts

I had the gp tech set with the square resivior and had bleeding issues/lag between foot and hand. The problem was a little air in/around the adapter and foot master it squishes when you pump the brakes. I finally solved the problem by tying the caliper up by the seat and un bolting the rearset so I could rotate it and pump the the last bubbles out, then good to go. But the HB master I didn't care for.
