Re: 07/08 600rr vs. 07/08 R6

i have a couple buddys with the hondas and you said something about having a dented gas tank... they do have a big *** plastic cover on the gas tank that would have to be delt with before you could do that. just a heads up you may have allready known that....

heck what about a 07 08 zx6r.. better than both of those other ones....

Re: 07/08 600rr vs. 07/08 R6

of course i already know that, n the 07 08 zx6rs are junk IMO. R6 is taller and i'll fit on the cbr way better but i'm lookin at which one is choppier to rock BP without having to use break and for doing controllable combos n stuff, my r6 was always really jerky unless you were in 3rd, 2nd gear was just nuts and even with a HB i felt i had to be on it a lot to even be half as smooth as my 636. track difference both are great bikes i'm lookin for all around best street stunt and comfort and ridability out of the 2. and only 07 08s cuz whoever said it the 07 and 08 versions of these bikes are way different than anything else or any other year

I love the RR, both bikes have weak subframes but the R6 is worse, it all depends on what style of a rider you are, look at Teach the RR was perfect for him, the RR's just love the throttle.

why the r6 is better???

<<<<06 636 full exhaust, power commander, k&n air filter, dyno and maped, all kinds of extras...went to barber i would kill the r6, coming out of the turn R6 stomped me everytime...thats why i sold that bike got a r1..

stunter 03/04 636...if ur really good(got skills with handbrake) 05 636

Re: 07/08 600rr vs. 07/08 R6

like i said before, i know the R6 is a better track bike hands down, any track guy will say that. and really that makes no difference to me at all cuz either would be fine for me for riding twisties and stuff and i dont see myself going to the track so thats not really what i'm interested in, that only plays a small role in my decision. i'm looking for smoothness of throttle for stunting i guess. was kind of just looking for insight from guys that have the bikes and that are really good at stunting, i do a lot of straightline combos on the street and thats what this bike will really be for me.

Thanks for all the help for those that have responded

i told yo ***! you will NOT be able to do straight line **** at any speed over idle on the new 600rr's like you would on any other bike. the bike is more twitchy than a liter bike. i had one.

Re: 07/08 600rr vs. 07/08 R6

I think it depends more on how the bikes fit to you. Its gonna be ackward for a min. on any new bike riding BP and beyond. It really shouldnt matter. What should matter is which bike is more prone to oil starvation? I've heard new r6's have fly by wire or something throttle (electronic)? I think, how reliable is this compared to cable throttle lines? With 0deg clip ons, any stock race commercial bike will feel 100% better so thats good. And really which one is more comfortable stunting for you? ex, 03-04 636 its cramped to me comparable to f4i which is roomy.

see the 03-04 636 is very comfortable to me because im a small guy, but both of these bikes are going to be very similar in ergos i think but the r6 is a lot taller i believe. i think the cbr is just a bit smaller all around which is good for me. i haven't heard anyone having any problems with the fly by wire setup but you can't change the throttle tubes or shave them or anythign to give the bike more play for stunting like you can any other bike out there. and im not sure about the oil starvation but that brings up a good point n i'd be curious if either would have a problem.

Ok...first off...Bullo has been doing this **** for a really long time, and I doubt this guy is that good...Second in the video you can see how jerky the trottle is when he is up....So you make no sense!!!

Re: 07/08 600rr vs. 07/08 R6

actually the only time he looks real jerky is when he's moving to do a foot drag with his knee on the seat and i've doen some foot drags myself and its very easy to get a wobble and its hard to be smooth on the throttle. i think cbr is what its gonna be, just a smaller overall bike that fits me better and will probly help me get that toy feeling to it rather than a bike i'll never be comfortable on because of its size. i sat on an r6 today and couldn't touch tip toes with both feet at same time only one, but the cbr i can touch both toes fairly well, just as good as i do on my 636 or 05 r6. plus i'm up for the challenge what the hell.
