could'nt find help to help me with this sooooo, I am taking my stock 05-06 upper triple off and switching it with an 03-04 model so i can use dirtbars and im stuck with the key lock mechanism. There are 2 (i think they are) rivets so do i have to drill this out or can it we spun out somehow cause the 03-04 one looks like it has threads? I am working on this now sooo any help at this point will be thanked

 

take a die grinder to it so you can get a flat head on it. they are break bolts the heads break off after a certain torque. they are threaded in just try to grind away till you can get a flat head on it

 

ya, just grind a slot for a flat head screwdriver

thanks so much and i have one more question with the main bolt that gos through the middle do i have to machine it to fit and if so is there an easy way of going about doing it cause its not the same size as the original
