Stunting a 99 YZF 600R
Ok i've been reading on here alot since i joined a few days ago and i'm tryin to get you guys opinion. i have a 99 yzf 600r that a friend gave to me for free! (Can't beat a free bike)....But it did needs some tlc. bike sprocket and chain were rusted, fork seals blown(I think) battery bad, didnt start, and it slips out of 2nd gear and the brakes need to be bleed. Well thanks to me emptying out the old gas, buying a new battery,a little carb cleaner, new plugs and some sea foam, i got it running just fine! I've heard that a lose chain can cause 2nd gear to slip so i'm hoping thats the problem versus the gear fork or tranny being messed up.Buddy was alittle pissed when i got it running in a few hours but hey his lose! Anyway i want to know if the bike is worthy of stunting? I know its not really a sport bike but could i get a sprocket maybe +10 in the back and be able to stunt on it. If i can i would like to start stunting on it. If it is worthy where can i buy stuff for a 600 r? Will aftermarket parts made for an R6 fit on my 600R...like sprockets, chain, cage, etc....? I have a 08 gsxr 1k that im debating on getting a cage and stuff for but i would like to learn on this 600R and beat that up first!

Re: Stunting a 99 YZF 600R
my first bike was a yzf600r, streetfightered that bitch and rocked whoolies on it. they are heavy as ****, carbed, and not too many stunt parts are available. sprockets are, vortex, sprocket specialist that i know of. havent heard of cages tho. slap some dirtbars on it,SF IT, and maybe a hand brake and you got a good lil free begginer stunt piece. like you said, cant beat a free bike!..
