a smaller over flow will look cleaner with no upper/side panels. the gsxr's have a huge hideous overflow thank that sticks out pretty far.

Your bike shouldn't be 'spewing' radiator fluid out.. Only a little bit should come out, and fill your rez about halfway... Then when the bike cools, it sucks it back into the radiator

honestly his advice is great advice. just ride it. really you don't need much when your starting out. people try and over complicate things by asking if they need this or that. what you need to do.

1. clean the carbs if needed.
2. get a cage.
3. a sprocket maybe.
4. maybe have a friend weld on some pieces to extend your subframe to stock length
5. ride it you'll figure everything else out when u ride.

How much harder is it to stunt with carbs over an FI? I have an rc51 and a vtr1000 aswell so I know how to ride I want to start racing too possibly. I used to race mx but I thought i'd give stuntin a try because I love rippin wheelies and messin around on the other bikes but they are too pretty to drop lol. Whats the first things to get for the bike and anyone have some cheap **** for it? (sprockets, cage, ideas ) thanks in advance guys
thats an awesome first bike. i wouldnt worry about a subframe until you have ridden it for awhile then you can decide if you want one or not.
i recommend turning your bars out if its possible with that bike.
it would be sick as hell to see you get to the point of scraping tail with it the way it is and yes it can be done.

agreed.
as for cages go with sick innovations or tiger shark
get a sprocket if its taking too much effort to clutch it up otherwise stay stock, its less twitchy once your up there.
i HIGHLY recommend getting an easy pull clutch lever like moose or msr. it really helps your hand from getting fatigued so quickly when your out popping it up 15641 times during practice.
cut your front levers down so when you do drop it you wont snap them off.
turn your idle up to about 3k
cover and use your rear brake
get lots of video
practice practice practice and enjoy

Re: noob here with some ??????'s!

Towlieee **** OFF learn to read...
float bowls to pressurize them
not
pressureize the carbs?
the 98-02 ninjas all have this duct work, the smaller air horns at the mouth of the ram air leads into the pressure equalizer, that leads into the bowl vents, this was designed to keep the bowls at the same pressure as the air box, the high/low pressure difference ***** with mikuni downdraft carbs. so sorry i wasnt a mikuni/kawisaki engineer back in the late 90s, I would have changed it just for you, douchebag so again **** off and no you dont notice it off the line because because of the gearing, during a wheelie??? it would not matter unless i was tryin to rock your uber gay power wheelies

SO0oo.. kx250racer if you want it streetable, this need rerouted into the flexible rubber ram air tubes, ebay it. If your going to stunt it i only reccomend the kleen air mod.... use the search

Re: noob here with some ??????'s!

I would get a sub cage.. not so much a bar just yet. if you learn on that shorty sub you just might end up with a bike flipping on top of you . and a Good cage can be found at SickInnovations.com . thats some of the best stuff you can get for stunt bikes. And Anything can be done with stock sprockets.

Re: noob here with some ??????'s!

Carburators are Fine! until you're keepin it on one wheel for a long time. Then its fine just gotta finness through that splutter... haha.
my yzf is carb'ed and it doesn't mind wheelies until you're at it for quite a while or at rev-limiter. It loads up Bad w/ stoppies though! haha.
Don't let the haters get ya down!

I'd say: Cage.

Re: noob here with some ??????'s!

I've never run DB bars, but you can probably ignore or cutoff the guide pin for the clip on clamps and rotate 'em out so they don't hit the tank. I beat in my tank a little to make hand clearence (lol, 2X4 and hammer) before I figured out to rotate them
