i do not use one and haven't seen one in use. I don't like them on quads so i don't think i would like them on my sportbike.

Re: thumb throttles

i've seen a thumb and twist throttle setup for quads with a lock. I'd say the vast majority of people stunting do NOT need one, unless your doing wheelies with your toes. .02

Re: thumb throttles

Just keep in mind, when running a thumb throttle, you give up a lot of available strength to hold onto the bar..

try going around for a day not using your thumb.. drinking pop without a thumb, starting your car without a thumb... It makes hanging on more difficult

Have you ever rode a quad?

Ive never had a problem holding on and I used to race them, ride them on trail still... Never been thrown of because I couldn't hold on. Just because I was flipping the Piece of ****.

that's because quad riders are sitting on a couch

and you can hold on with your legs when you're racing. When you're doing a spreader you can't hold on with your legs...it's all hands.

The reason a quad has a thumb throttle, is because when your going around a turn, its easier to control a thumb throttle with your steering locked..

If you leaned into turns on a quad, and didn't turn lock to lock, then they would have twist throttles from the factory im sure..

+1

I hate to talk ****.. But quads, are like the retarded cousins of dirt bikes haha..
They are soo easy to ride, everyone thinks they are bad when they show up at the trails and can do a wheelie, or do some donuts

Yet they are sad when me on my TURD *** 150f, hangs right on their tail in the trails.. when they are on 450r's and raptor 660's

they may be easy too ride on the trails but they are alot harder to jump then a dirt bike i know alot of guys that race bikes and do 90ft plus on a bike but won't jump 40ft on a quad

Oh ya, they are definitely hard to jump

But that doesn't help the fact that 95% of quad riders think they are good riders, since they can throw a quad sideways at 50mph

Seriously in my town, I've only met 1 good quad rider, and thats my friend that races quads

all the rest of them are idiots, that think a 40mph wheelie, or cutting donuts is ******* BAD! lol

I LOVE throwing up a circle wheelie on my 150f in a field lol... always makes quad riders ****

again I'm just talking ****.. and ranting haha...
I just get annoyed with the fact everytime I go to my local trails, theres always a group of "TOOLS" bragging about how they are professional racers and **** HAHA

Hell last time I was out riding, there was some idiot on a "250 frame with a 350 motor" that races professionally.. I asked what series he raced in, and he never responded..
I ended up DUSTING his *** in the trails, but of course, in the open field he'd always fly by me.. And in the jumps.. wow.. it was a LAUGH! lol
