Im wondering how long it took everyone who can to catch and pull idle. Im looking for different factors like how many times a week you rode n how long. what u have ur bike idle at. and just how long.

 

about 4 or 5 months from the time high idle wheelies came out till I could take the throttle hand off. My bike sucked *** and would barely run at bp.

 

took me an entire summer riding like 4 times a week on my 929 to get it right.

 

bout 3 months riding once every weekend. f4i, idle was at 3k

 

I think it took me about 5-6 months from when I started focusing away from high speed power whoolies...riding about 3-4 times a week for about 30-45 minutes a ride. Idle at about 3k on a literbike(FZ1). I sure am glad it doesn't take that long to pick new **** up , now! LOL

 

ummm wow, didnt take me long at all. i rode streets only for about 2 years then went to the lot and had idle within 2 or 3 times of riding.

 

i rode for like 5 to 6 months in the streets before going to the lot but the first time in the lot my buddy kept pushing me and i got it right away. as long as you can catch balance point id just turn the idle up real high you will get it in no time

Damn. Got some of that natural tallent, 'eh? Good ****. I think if I'd gone to a lot, i would have picked it up a bit quicker, myself. The small space forces improvement, for sure. Wish I woulda known that back then....small spaces seemed scary at the time..

 

When I actually turend my idle up and tried it, it took 4-5 sessions to get it to where I could ride no throttle for 2+ blocks


But it took me over a year to do it.. Because my first year of stunt riding, I'd hit a lot once every 2-3 months.. And ride for 30 minutes and be done
