my $.02 is 13mm mag. running on single caliper has incredbile power and good feel but i like my 16x18 better i think it has more feel to it (might be because its what i use most and i like to drag the break a bit) hope that helps

 

ya i got the 4 piston with the R1 master but im lookin for a little more. its nice to have a little more when i need it. Im just wondering which one is better for my set up?

 

i had the 16x18 brembo with the 4piston and after i got all the air out i couldnt even clutch up h/c or any tank tricks because i drag the brake but it was def. more powerful than a 13mm mag. with a single piston it was kinda weird because after about 1-2 weeks of rididng it would lose power i guess i might have boiled my fluid but after that it was sweet still much more power than a 13mm with a single caliper but still more feel hope that helps and hopefully other people will put up ther $.02

 

Ya thanks. I got the same prob i bleed the breaks and go out and buy the end of the day the master starts to lack the power it had earlier

 

Ah! Ok. I run both masters on different bikes. Both are very powerful, almost equal in strength. The big difference is the feel.
In my opinion the Magura is a big stronger. The Magura is much more spongy than the Brembo. You will be on the brake and not realize it. Parts are more expensive to replace.
The Brembo is so close to Magura on power its not really an issue. It's a bit stiffer feel. Parts are cheaper to replace.

 

It's personal preference and all depends on what works better for you and your riding style.. They both pretty much have equal breaking power, though the magura has more of a softer feel and able to put small precise imputs of brake before it grabs hard, and the brembo is more or a drag and stiffer with less feel before it grabs hard.
