and for the dude w/ the 02 R1.. if you want to mess w/ your gearing, decide WHY you want to mess with it. the stock R1 will wheelie in every gear if you develop some good technique.. so the only reason to mess with gearing is really to affect how easily it will wheelie. i wouldn't do that to cover up bad technique, but if you want to do slow tricks or something, sure.

thats

I'm at -2 +10 and it goes slow as glass. I might go a few more in the back.

Sprocket ratios for a 954

Just curious what people are running on their 954's as far as gearing. Currently I have stock gearing and it wheelies just fine, but was wondering maybe 1 up on the rear sprocket to get a little more torque, and less bounce to bring it up?

xrated.. top end in 6th was like 115 supposedly. i wasnt able to even run the gearing though since it was rubbing the swingarm.. so fuggit, i threw the stock back on and i'm rocking that.

i just put on 1 down 8 up sprocket spec. and i love it. actually im selling the ones i just put on there cause im gonna go 2 down 16 up i think. i dont know. maybe more then that. so if anyone is interested in the 1 down 8 up sprockets and chain pm me. for a 900RR.

as far as killing your top speed i dont think it hurts it as bad as you would think. KYLE_PBZ is 2 down 8 up and his still does 158mph on a gsxr 1000.. speedo shows 180 something i think though.
