Re: Calling aLL NY stunters and stunteresses
i know neal is gonna disagree with me but i think learning to scrape first is the worst possible way to learn to catch idle and it definitely beats the living **** out of your bike , learn brake control first then learn to scrape , it's much easier to scrape once you already know how to ride a nice controlled bp wheelie on idle ..
Then I met some of the people I ride with today and they told me **** tryin to ride a wheelie out - park it on the bar so you know where the bar is and once you know where the bar is start tryin to catch it with the brake. Once I did that I was ridin BP wheelies pretty quick. Dabda for instance was ridin pow pows for 30 years or however long he says he was ridin pow pows for. I told him to try to park it on the bar. Once he did that he got over that fear which is what it really is and is now able to ride a wheelie out. Had he not parked it on the bar he'd probably still be doing 100mph pow pows. Like I said - to each his own - some people learn the way you mentioned while others learn the way I mentioned. No right way in the end - whatever works and gets you there is what you should do. Experiment with different things and find what works for you
I also think its good to know where the bar is coz you're gonna be there a lot when starting and it's good to know so you dont freak out and bail when you get there. Re: Calling aLL NY stunters and stunteresses
wheelies went well today, real well. I was consistantly clutching it up to BP or just a little below it. I was floating around by BP for a few feet before jamming the brakes or coming back to the bar today. No more slingshotting to the bar. I got my clutch up down pat now just need to work on not hitting the brakes so hard and riding them out. I'm actually pumped to ride for the first time in a while.

I used a brake rotor from some car and a big steel block to start it, thats the only tricky aprt

time to play guess what mondays shoe size is and my foot fits perfectly in the hole
