Anyone selling an f4i subframe? Mine is destroyed and unfixable. It snapped in like 4 different places.

Both sides on the bottom bar snapped off by where the bolts go through your cage and the subframe. The crossbar on top is also broke off at the welds on both sides.

Today is not my day. Mangled subframe, and a lost key. Sweet. I spent 2 hours retracing my steps at everywhere I've been and tore my whole house apart, nothing. What does removing the ignition on an f4i involve? Do I need to take the top triple or gas tank off, or can I just unbolt it from the bottom. I guess I need to bring it to a locksmith. Probably gonna cost me an arm and a leg.

You need a torx socket most likely unless the person before you removed it and replaced it with regular bolts. Looks like this:



If you wanna bring it by over the weekend when I'm working on the 636 lemme know. You actually dont need to take the ignition out - you can roll your whole bike to a locksmith and they can make a key

Aight, might take ya up on that. I gotta get a key made first and order that bleeder valve today. It's gonna be impossible to roll my up the ramp in neutral with no front brakes. Maybe I'll just bring take the top triple off and bring it to the locksmith. Do I have to put a jack underneath if I'm just removing the top triple clamp, or will the bottom triple being on there stop my **** from bottoming out?

I took the top triple off my 929 without any special supports. As long as the pinch bolts on the lower triple are tight, you should be fine. It's gonna look sketchy just bringing in a top triple though.

+1 lol. You dont need to put anything to support it just takin the top triple off but takin the top triple off wont get the ignition off you still need the torx sockets to get the ignition off. also, whatchu need front brakes to load a bike for to unload maybe if you got no HB but to load

theyre not regular torx, theyre "tamperproof torx" and i have a set too if necessary
