The screws on my sliders were both broken clean in half. That's why when I pounding the philips head into what I thought was the slider bolt I wasn't hitting anything. Even with the bigger head the bolt still broke and was pushed back like a half inch from where it should have been. The only thing stopping it from going inside was the bigger head. On the other one where I don't have a slider, the screw broke too. The head piece came off and half the slider was just stuck in there. If you can grind that bitch down that'd be perfect though for sure.

I have a box full of delrin rods. mostly 2.5" thick and between 4 and 8" long. You can have some, i have a whole box

why dont you make your sliders out of aluminum . it will make your life a whole lot easier. im still using a set of aluminum sliders i had on my gsxr over 5yrs ago

 

if you do use the delrin , make sure its a loose fit so you dont have to spend hours removing the exploded pieces
