Has anyone been to Daytona Bike Week? If so what are your thoughts on it and what do you think would make it cooler (besides more ***** and free beer, I have already thought of that

 

lol daytona cops sucks, if there was some way to make traffic flow and the cops not hand out so many tickets for stupid stuff and if they didnt increase the hotel prices so much i might actually go.

 

I went when i was a young squid. It was cool, but the ride down there and back was honestly cooler than bike week itself. The event itself it just a billion harleys revving their engines at red lights. The ***** are pretty low quality in general, you dont go there to look at *****. I dont know about the beer, im not a drinker. We snuck into the superbike race, that was pretty cool, but got boring/repetitive towards the end. Did I mention that the ride down there was awesome? It was.

The only 2 bad things about it are all the cops, and all the harleys. The police presence during bike week is similar to midtown manhattan on a normal weekday. Traffic in town is similar too.
The harleys arent dicks or anything, theyre just stupid. You know what they say about stupid people in great numbers right? At every red light (and theyre all red) its you, 10 sportbikes, and a hundred harleys. Somebody revs their engine pointlessly, and then everybody else starts revving their engines pointlessly. All hundred of them, and 1 or 2 of the sportbikes too. And they do it at every red light, every time. Its really annoying after the first time.

Yes. My friend and I were young and dumb (actually like your age ) and we thought everybody rode their bikes down.

 

Im all about the pointless revving at red lights. It makes up for my lack of skills. I think anyway

yeah this weather SUCKS!!!!

 

i`ve been there a few times,ego has been too. alot of cops like 2+ on every corner ,if you screw around on the strip, you will get a ticket, i had my plate up were you couldnt see it on my 1000 and they werent gonna let me move it until i fixed it so i bent it down!

and if you get stopped they will check for everything! lisc,ins,reg. ect.(warrants)cough,cough.
alot of open rode rideng, 95 is safest for wheelies, but a1a is a nice rode to ride on!!! great view..theres a cool mini golf place there also!! i prolly still have some pics!!!

we trailered down left at 11pm got there 330 pm only stopped for fuel every 200 miles or so.. with a 28 ft enclosed car trailer average speed 99 mph( rev limiter)

 

thats a lot of money sitting there,a friend of mine has a camaro with 250,000 in it, and no he hasnt even started the motor
its a twin turbo 585 keith black block i think its cause hes scared he will hit the gaurd rail... estimated hp is 3,200 alot of money!!
