Calling aLL NY stunters and stunteresses
Re: Calling aLL NY stunters and stunteresses
The sun goes down around 530 now so theres no way its happening before then for me. If Ant & Leah are definitely comin out then we could do after 9 - I'll probably get there a little earlier but you could get there after 9. If they dont come out then Im cool with gettin there at 7 and riding for 2 hours.
Re: Calling aLL NY stunters and stunteresses

Re: Calling aLL NY stunters and stunteresses
The whole point here Toneth is that the DMV wants paperwork describing the lineage of ownership for the bike. So if the title is in the guy's name you are buying it from, you don't even need a bill of sale, you just need him to sign over the title. However, if the title is in someone else's name, you need paperwork from him->the guy you are buying it from->to you.
However, often people get the seller to sign off on the title, but not the buyer. That way they never register it, and when they sell the bike to you, they just give you the title and you sign as the buyer from the original transaction so as far as the DMV is concerned, there was never a middle owner.

Re: Calling aLL NY stunters and stunteresses
Is it a clean or salvage title?
Re: Calling aLL NY stunters and stunteresses
Also inolen the DMV said this...
Bill of Sale: Proof of ownership normally includes a bill of sale. The DMV does not provide a form for a bill of sale. The seller and the buyer complete the bill of sale.
You sure about the bill of sale thing? I just don't wanna get fucked here. It's a clean title. I have no way to get in touch with the original owner if I need one.

Re: Calling aLL NY stunters and stunteresses
Im pretty sure that a Bill of Sale isnt required if you have the motor vehicle form. Only problem with that is you would need the seller from TX to sign that form since he's still the one of the title.

Re: Calling aLL NY stunters and stunteresses
If it's in state and you cannot get in touch with the guy then it's a lot easier to have a bill of sale listing the VIN #, date of sale, etc. and photocopy of the guys ID.
Every notary/dvm place is different. Some will let you have the guy fax them something with his ID copied on it and treat it like he's there signing it in front of them.

Re: Calling aLL NY stunters and stunteresses
titles from TX but the new owner never transferred title to him so if anything is really needed they would have to speak to the guy in TX which aint happening. There's a NYS DMV form that has to be signed by the seller for the sale and if the signature doesnt match the one on the title he'll have problems IMO. Unless they'll accept a bill of sale from the seller in TX to the guy in NY as proof that the NY guy owns it to sell it so the NY guy can sign that form for the DMV.
Re: Calling aLL NY stunters and stunteresses
Did he go pick it up from TX? Whats the deal w that? And why did he never register it if he bought it
