Mint 08 GSXR 600

Clean NY title in hand, no bank liens or anything. There's not a scratch on it. It has about 5000 miles on it and the oil has been changed every 1000 miles. I paid $10,000 for it less than a year ago, and there is about $2000 in modifcation done to it. I'm asking $8000. I'm not parting this out, below is just a list of what I paid for any mods on it.

Full Two Bros Vale Exhaust - $1100
Power Commander 3 - $250
Driven 520 Chain with -1/+2 gearing - $185
Speedohealer - $115
HIDs for both high and low beams - $200
Puig double bubble windscreen - $80
i dont think you'll get 8 grand, or anywhere close to it. The only people who spend that much on bikes are newbs, or people with too much extra money. Both of those types of people only buy bikes in the beginning of summer, and they only buy brand new bikes, not 2 yr old models.

Yeah I don't think I will either.. I wouldn't buy it for 8 grand.
I just figured I don't really even wanna sell it... but I will if someone jumps on it for such a high price.

Also, can anyone give me some advice on how the transaction works with used bikes? I might be picking up an F4i today. What do I need? Does he just sign the title over then I own it? How does paying taxes on it work? How soon do I have to pay taxes on it?

he signs the title, make sure he signs in teh right place before you give him the money.
You go to the dmv with the title, fill out a form which includes teh purchase price. you then pay the tax to them, they give you a registration, and your title comes in the mail in 3 weeks.

Be sure to lie about the purchase price, since they have no way of checking up on it. Since its a little old, you can tell them you only paid like 500 for it.

Ok this deals going through. Clean title $1600. Comes with a sprocket.. but the throttle sticks a little and theres a tiny dent in the front rim but it holds air. Is the throttle stick an easy fix? Do I get just new throttle bodies? Do I jump on this?

Sticking throttle is usually at the clipon. Don't worry about that.

Yup an F3. He used to keep both feet on the floor and just pop the clutch and man handle it to the bar lol. It was effortless for him. But he couldnt do a wheelie with both feet up to save his life.

+1 Tone on everything Mike said, however when I purchase **** and the title is blank on the back I always tell the seller to leave it blank. Only because you have to fill out the bill of sales form from the dmv, and the signatures have to match the sellers, sooo either get the forms from the dmv for him to fill out at the time of purchase or just tell him to leave it blank, then have your girl sign the title and paperwork so the handwriting jives. Trust me I always get the DMV clerks with the ill period attitude, and if that happens they will give you **** about the signatures.

I would just get the forms in advance. You can go to the DMV website and print them out

I'm mad confused now after reading this.
Bill of Sale: Proof of ownership normally includes a bill of sale. The DMV does not provide a form for a bill of sale. The seller and the buyer complete the bill of sale. If the vehicle is transferred as a gift, indicate this on the bill of sale and indicate that the purchase price is $0. You must also indicate the vehicle is a gift on form DTF-802 (Statement of Transaction {Sales Tax Form}). An acceptable bill of sale includes all of this information:
  • the year and make of the vehicle, boat or ATV,
  • the vehicle identification number (VIN) or the hull identification number (HIN),
  • the date of the sale,
  • the purchase price of the vehicle or the boat, and
  • the names and signatures of the buyer and the seller.
The buyer and seller can make photocopies of the bill of sale to keep in their records. The new owner must give the original bill of sale to the DMV with the other acceptable proofs of ownership required. A bill of sale is not an acceptable proof of ownership without other proofs.

True, that would elimate all the hassle. My lazy *** never gets the forms before I buy ****.
