06 636 to 04 swingarm conversion?

Who's done it?

iv got an 06 swingarm so might as well fit it to my 04 to mix it up a bit.

anyone know whats needed besides the swingarm and rear shock?
does the 04 rear wheel mount up no probs?

any advantages/disadvantages?

anyone?

nope the 03 04 wheel has a wider center so it won't fit unless you make a thinner caliper mount

So then do you just have to use an 04 wheel? Also, what about an 07-08 swingarm... same situation?

the 03 04 wheel doesn't work well with the 06 swing arm like i mentioned above but the 05 06 07 08 wheel should work perfect as long as you have the spacers and axle for the 05 06 07 08 .......hhhhhmmmmm i just had a thought and i don't have the answer but you may need the caliper mount from the 06 also but im not sure

yes you will need the caliper bracket also. if you use the 05-08 shock use that shock linkage also

hmmmmm nope! the swing arm is easy you can use the 06 shock if wanted.you just have to remove a dust shield on the swing arm i believe on the brake side so that you can put the spacer in there.thats about it,if i remember on the shift side its a pain to get the spacer in.
