GPR dampner problems!!

im tryn the switch from SCOTTS to a GPR dampner and i have the stem nut off. an im trying to slide the base on but it doesnt fit. its like barely to small, jus enough that if i try to beat it on it will **** the threads.


anyone have any words of wisdom?

Do you hace the stock steering stem-front triple tree? I ask because the 05-06 steering stem is slightly larger than the 03-04.

I know this because I had to drill out a billet top tripple from an 03 that I put on my 05.

I would drill it out a little myself and ride on.

drill it or open it up with a little grindstone

I work in a maching shop. If its off by just a hair and its the end of the day **** happens..... those gpr's are tough a little light sanding and you're good to go.

i had that problem with my but it was getting it off

i had to "unscrew" it to get it off
