a 12 o'clock question
Everybody is different, but according to the poll they did a month ago I would have to say about 85% of the riders prefer to Standup rather than sit down. Sit downs are good for poping the clutch and hiting the tail/bar and taping the brake to come back down. Stand-ups are just way easier to control than sit down 12's. Sit downs are a lot more funner once you master them, but for a rookie in training Stand-ups are the way to go.
#1 ingredient to learing 12's- RELAX . If you panic and take your foot off the pegs when coming back you are going to dump your bike. As soon as you know your back is about to hit the groud, just pull in the clutch with your index finger and lean back/straighten your elbows out.
