theres a no chase law for bikes in reno but that doesnt stop em. instead of calling it in they just chase you til they win.

Re: No Chase Law In Pa

if your not wearing a helmet in PA they cannot chase you, and i dont know about an actually chase law. i've heard there is no chase law after a certain speed.

There as so many back roads in this state that connect to so many different highways it's pretty hard to get caught if you decide to run. Not that i advocate running from the police

There is no such thing here in PA but I will let you in on all the cruisers in PA top out at 120 so your safe with that. The cruisers seem fast do to mustang engines but they take forever to hit to speed but there is not a No Chase Law. Helmet or no helmet if they feel like chasing you there going to.

dunno about them topping out at 120, my township just bought a bunch of chargers, im sure they do more then 120... but besides that i DO know that all the cops have camera's in there cars now, and by 09 all the intersections around allentown and bethlehem will have camera's like they do in larger city's... so if your gonna be dumb, watch your plate.

Re: No Chase Law In Pa

When it hits a 100 they are suppose to stop. Or if your in a town they gotta use there judgement when it becomes unsafe for ppl around and stop chase.

Really its just a judgement call, if the cop thinks its ok to chase its ok.

They had 2 chases here in the last month, one on a highway, they chased the guy and finally figured to do a road block to catch him.

The other one was through a town on little 2 lane road with a bunch of stores, 100 mph down main street...now the cops are getting chewed out by residents for chasing the kid. They did catch him though.

Re: No Chase Law In Pa

there is in PA supposedly they cant chase you for longer than 5 mins over 7mph due to the statisctics of a crash after that period of time. Thats what i heard from a local cop around here, BUT i have def. been chased longer than that over 70 lol soooo they pretty much do what they want....lol ftp
