how many guys can ride hard enough to squeeze every bit out of a 1000
or be good enough to tell you the difference a horse here and 500rpm there and 7 pounds makes?
hell not even half the riders out there can say they can do that to a 600
the best bike for the AVERAGE rider is the one they are comfortable riding and feel confident on....
it can be a great bike...but if it feels liek **** to the rider thats how its gonna perform...liek ****!

I cant compare the gsxr or the yamaha... but then again who cares about em anyways.. its all about the zx10r and cbr 1000 this year, and my boy has the 08 cbr1000, i have an 08 zx10r... after riding them hard on streets, canyons, and wheeelies... hands down zx10r punks that thing... the honda is pretty comfy though..
and as far as looks, the zx10r might be crossed eyes but that cbr looks like a rabbit or something... not to mention worst undertail on anybike ever goes to the cbr!!
and if you wanna talk colour combos available your gonna pay what 2k more for the black cbr1000 special edition while the zx10 has it stock..
and red, yellow, and silver... just dont belong on a liter bike!! knight rider black!! woot

i cant believe all these votes for the honda.....its easily the ugliest bike they have EVER produced! looks like someone took a shovel during the molding process and smacked the **** out of the front end........and whala......your new 1000rr
as a matter of fact all the new liter bikes are fugly. get the kawi though, its the least ugly and has the best motor kawi has ever made!

Ive put seat time on the 08 honda, and the 08 kawi 1000's.
theyre both sweet, but the kawi manages its power much more efficiently. ive never felt a smoother, faster bike, that wheelies like a damn dream at hwy speed.

The 08 XZ10 has won more magazine shoot outs in 2008 then any other previous bike has ever won! not that that matters much! but ok it may not be that good looking.....{but it does grow on ya}...... but who cares?? it's SICK! my race bike has well A ******* **** LOAD of $$$ in it!! and I have to say my 08 is not that far off stock! I could probably run close to the same lap time on both bikes!!<----kinda sucks if you knew how much I put into the race bike!!!

rideability wise the Honda is tops IMO. Easiest to get on and go fast right away. Kawi is tight but felt harder to go fast and control.
Honda felt like my little 600rr times ten and I was ediately comfy on it. Kawi corners the best for sure, almost WANTS to drag knee

Find a left over 07 or even a used 07 CBR 1k:YEAH wouldnt give mine up for any liter bike out right now and Ive rode the zx10, suckzuki, but not the R1 woulnt be caught dead on one

i really like the red/white R1.. iono if that scheme will be available in the US though.
the new 1k hondas did kind of grow on me 2, i'd rock one for sure..
but for looks and overall streetbike i'd take the R1.
havent seen a new zx10 on the road yet. but i dont go out to the twisty riding as often as i did before.
and the only suzuki i'd ever get is a 03-04 1k
or a 04-05 750

Well I"m biased because I own a white and silver gixxer 1000. And I ******* love it. My favorite bike I've ever ridden for street riding. I have over 6k miles on it. I"ve done long distance touring ****, Drag raced it and done track days, and wheelies since it had like 800 mile on it. Like two mile long freeway **** etc since I suck at stunting and that's pretty much all i do until i can come up with money for a stunt bike. But I've been rocking one seen a cop and slammed the rear brake slamming the front down hard as ****. I've had zero problems. My buddy hit a curb head on his bent his forks and flipped the bike and his frame's cherry. I also rode a new 08 honda and I hated it. The *** of the bike feels like there is zero weight on it. Power is good but the rear slides around and bounces. It's a known issues on em. I hate'd it And i rode it at the track. Not to mention that it's ugly as ****.The 08 gixxer is the **** in my opinon.
