Which 2008 litrebike would you get ?

I'd get the Honda but it looks so ****. I loved the 08 kwakka but I can't get anyone who's wheelied it enough to see If the output shaft cracks the cases like the 04 05's. Any more info about the 08 models would help.

Honda for sure.

Some people think it's ugly, but it grows on you. Sit on one and you'll be sold. Ride one down the street and you'll be sold twice.

I got the kawasaki but I'm biased, I will list the cliff notes for all the bikes:
Honda: Good mid range, decent looks (I like the look now), good handling/brakes, ****-*** clutches, know of two locally that have clutches that rattle so bad they have eaten up the clutch baskets
Kawasaki: Ugly, Brakes are kinda poor, Fastest, Rides decent wheelies for sure
Yamaha: Slowest, most outdated, throttle by wire sucks from what I hear
Suzuki: GSXR=weak

Are you talking the clutches on the 08 Hondas? With the cable clutch? I haven't heard anything about them

I heard of two, one of which being a guy I ride with pretty regularly. He is a tech for Ron Ayers, his clutches as well as a customer's were making a lot of noise, so the Honda rep told him to pull his apart so they could see what the problem was. The clutches had been rattling around loose in the basket and had already worn very deep grooves after less than 1k miles. I know it's not from abuse b/c he actually rides pretty easy for the most part. I don't know all the details, but the Honda was also a consideration when I was shopping for a liter, and about a week after getting my 10, another one of my tech buddies that works there called and told me I should be glad I didn't get the Honda because of that problem and the Honda rep didn't know how to fix it.

Bull, go to zx-10r.net and see if everyone doesn't agree with me. After 1-2 hard stops (ie-track type riding or aggressive street riding) the brake lever will go all the way to the grips, it's a problem in the calipers from what I hear, replacing the calipers with zx-14, zx-6, or 1krr calipers solves the problem.

edit: I see you have an 08, not trying to start any problems between us with this post, us 08 owners got to stick together haha.

Did they ban you because you like to do wheelies? I started a thread up there when I got my new 636, said it was gonna be a stuntbike and they acted like I was an idiot for not making it an all-out trackbike.

Re: Which 2008 litrebike would you get ?

WOW!! 5 people actually chose that ugly piece of **** new cbr 1000rr. Well i guess what they say is true, every mouldy bread has its mouldy cheese!

Ive had nothing but hondas since my r1 in 2002 but you couldnt pay me to take that new 1000. Its like the designers were making a joke, and someone at the meeting didnt get it & went ahead making the piece of ****!

Theres absolutely no excuse for the bike to have been made that ugly, it doesnt matter what the performance is like.

and does anyone know of an 08 gsxr1000 with a cracked frame from wheelies? No I didnt think so, so stop making generic statements based on previous models.
