250cc or higher mx stunter.

i read in anover thread about ttr125 good as a mx stunter for practicing. and also mentioned a honda 150.

just woundering if a 250 or even 450 would be good?

lyk does it have any disadvantages or is it just the the 125 can pop wheelies easily and is cheap?

Re: 250cc or higher mx stunter.

dude heaps and heaps of people are stunting CRF50's, I used to have one, and those things have no power, yet you can stunt them fine.

Bottem line, you dont need power to wheelie dirtbikes.

Also, because your also a Kiwi, the following is all current pricing as im always watching trademe.co.nz and following pricing of bikes.

you can wheelie any size dirtbike, just depends what you want and how much you want to spend, this is just a quick guide off the top of my head of all the MX bikes ive stunted:

CRF50 = Great, really tough, really good to learn on, just makes your throttle control really choppy, very cheap.

CRF70 = just a bigger version of the 50, id stick with the 50 cause there are more stunt parts avalible.

ttr125/crf150 = good bikes, probly the best learner stunt bike you can get, better than a 50 because there bigger and you dont get sucha choppy throttle hand, but they are alot more expensive and alot less stunt parts.

Any full on motard like my crf450 = the big daddy, not as easy as the others to learn on, not as forgiving as the ttr125/crf150's, quite a bit more fun, throttle control is the same as FI street bikes (personal opinion) but alot more money involved with constant maintance and lots of money to buy motards in the first place.

Hope this helps

Re: 250cc or higher mx stunter.

i just traded a crf50 straight up for a ttr125 and i love it. but imo if you've never stunted any kind of bikes before get the fiddy, they are cheap, you can ride them at a lot more places, and there good to learn on.

heres my aviator a little larger with some pics of me on my fiddy....... they are lots of fun!!!!!
