I am thinking about getting a 2007 ZX6 and have heard guys say it does not have the umph of the 636. So, can the newer ZX6s get highchairs n spreaders up on the highway at 45-50 mph with +5-7 rear sprocket? I have only done highway **** with 636s, so I want to make sure if I get a newer one it will still get the job done.

It'll do it with stock gearing.
The main problem with the bike is the low end. Which makes tricks around 20mph down to idle a little different than the 636.

 

OMR---you got it +5 or 7 on the rear. I am not planning on using it in the lot, it is gonna be my streeter.

 

mine does it stock.. its not horrible on the low end

 

The low end thing doesn't bother me. My 60 fixed that, haha.

Yeah, but the frame problem is only in regards to the lot, right? You wont beat it up enough on the street would ya?

 

As long as you speed up as you bring it down to lessen the blow it shouldnt be (too) big of a problem. Id keep an eye out for it though. A guy I know ride a blue 636 and he slams a couple down here and there and havent noticed any stretching or hairline cracks. (yet)

 

Yeah, on the streets you should be fine. Unless of course you manage to pancake the bike.

 

just reinforce the frame before it happens..

 

Thats my plan ^. But I if you want it done right the motor has to be dropped. Not sure if I can find somone to do that for me right now with my money issues.
