dirtbike handlebars

Does anyone know where you can find the dirtbike handlebar conversion kit for a gsxr 750 or a 929. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No Shiat man, there is something wrong looking about those kinda bars on the sportbikes. I almost did this on my Gixxer 1k but just couldnt get into the look.
Does look like they would help with the endoz....

high bars kick ***

i streetfightered out my TLS after riding it for 3 days, clip-ons suck. its jsut my opinion, but your wrists will NEVER HURT, ever, even after riding all day.

http://www.streetfighters-usa.com/ls...ters_yokes.htm

or

http://www.spiegler.de/gb/More_Produ...g_the_bar.html

has everything you'll need. i did mine myself, it wasnt hard, but make sure you check everything first, such as clutch cable length, throttle cables, fast idle cable, brake lines...you might have to order longer ones if you do it yourself, the kits sold are complete so you just put everything on, i would call first to see what you are getting in it, the people atspiegler are very smart and knowledgable...

good luck, its a lot more fun, i routinely spin my rear tire coming out of corners in 2nd around town, if i was still runnin clip-ons, i dount i woul be comfortable enough to do this, the added leverage of the high bars make alot of stuff easier. just my opinion.

have fun, any more questions, just ask

i agree with darius. They are cheating handlebars.Things like that are making the sport harder for everyone cause those handle bars make the tricks easier and for us that use the real bars its twice as hard.

Stunting requires talent and lots of practise - what 'bars you use is completely irrelevant

its like learning to 12 with stock gears or like 1 down 2 up

I learned 1 down 2 up, but why should I stay with that when taller gearing makes it less of a struggle and easier to get slow

if you have something on lock it dont matter what bars, pressure, gearing you have

I dont know about making it any easier but if it does so be it.
But no matter what handle bars you have, the practice is what will make you a pro.
To me I just luv the look of a sportbike which is why I dont really care for the dirtbike handlebars.
Cheers

i learned most of my stuff with the clip ons, but dirtbike bars honestly relieve a lot of strain on your wrists. you can ride all day and not go home with cramps and sore wrists.

as far as them being cheater bars, isnt that what some people said about 12 bars in the begining? and now almost everyone has one. thats almost like saying gearing it is cheating because its not stock.

tell carmichael, farias, and domoka that they are cheaters because they use dirtbike bars. i bet they would laugh.

and regardless of what type of handle abrs you have, i think if you got your stuff on lock, who cares what you are using. just my .02

how can you say?

i think people that have only ridden with clip-ons really have no basis for an opinion. if you like the clip-ons, stay with them, i wanted a streetfighter way before i decided to become a stunter, i did the bars for the look and feel when riding, not because it makes stoppies easier...

i have known only 1 person that after going to MX bars, didnt like it and went back..everyone loves it, coincidence?

stoppies are easier, but with clip-ons you can ride your wheelies higher easier because of your hand position, so i guess its a trade off, but the added leverage of the wide bars makes control of wheelies easier in my opinion.

Here is a link to my progress build.... i haven't updated the page in a really long time....so the finished bike's not on there.
