Who's clutching, who's powering?
Ok guys, who here thinks clutching is the way to bring it up, who thinks a power wheelie is the shizzle? For me at least, the clutch is better, snap it up, adjust for altitude.....and ride it out.

Power is easier. For beginners.

This sums it up best, but I know there are a few like Laura (Redline Extreme) that dont clutch it.

.C L U T C H it up with one finger a few times and you will be asking yourself why you did it any other way
. I'm a FNG, so right now it is easier for me to power up in first and bounce up in second.
I am working on clutching though and it does seem much more consistent and stable, I just haven't quite figured it out yet. Based on the way it feels in the early stages of me learning it, I would say that clutching is the way to go.

I am clutching mine up. Although, I learned by bouncing it up, and I still think that it is the best method to learn by, because it doesn't 'hop' up so fast. But once you get where the balance point is, you WANT it to hop it fast - so say hello to the clutch. Pop! Peace!

POWER IS WHAT MAKES BEGINERS WRECK, THEY DON'T KNOW WHEN TO LET OFF THE THROTTLE IF THAT THING **** UP FAST AS A *****!!!! BY THE TIME THEY REALIZE TO LET OFF, IT'S TOO LATE....
i power my highchairs .... i just learned to clutch last week lol but ive been doing everything powering or bounccing... power 1st and shift to 2nd seemed like the better thing to do but i guess i could ride out highichairs longer if i clutch em.
Hey guys....I've been riding for a few years now, but never did much stunting. Until recently....that is! Never realized how much fun I was missing out on. As far as the cluch method--can anyone give some advice to a new stunter? Do you dump the cluch out or let it out slowly as the front tire climes into the sky?
Thanks in advance for any info.

you more or less find that sweet spot in the RPM (on my R6, its about 8k in 2nd gear..not sure about first, i just kinda feel it), and use one finger to quickly pull the clutch in just to its engagement point while holding the throttle steady (like i do in first) or giving some gas (like i do in second).....the RPMS will climb quick (i usually hit about 11.5-12k in second in that split second)...slip that clutch, bang! wheel's in the air...how high and how long depends on your use of the throttle (and back brake, but im not at that stage yet, im a newbie, all about the faaasssttt wheelies, heh, i just cover that brake for fear of looping, i dont utilize it like some of these other guys do)......good thing about the clutch is that once you get it down, you know exactly how high and how fast that wheel's coming up, much more predictable and consistant....safer if you want to call it that, just practice, go easy...you'll get it.
oh, before i end this mindless ramble....dont use those RPM values with your 954, thats just me and my 6, your bike has more ***** and will probably take less to get up (i.e. less to loop), gotta experiment a little bit and remember to keep your weight back and that wheel straight.
ok, im done now.....hope that helps
