itds like russian roulette....i rolled with multiple stock front ends for 2-3 years, including some 550+ and then 1 day SNAP, 3rd gear snapped a lower leg, and these were never stunted forks off a bike with 300o miles, so i rather be safe than sorry...

Re: 636 front end problems

durty i hear what your sayn.. but i dont wanna be one of "those" riders that snapped a leg... an doesnt matter if i do a popa stoppie or a 100,000 foot stoppie... either way going over is gonna **** you up... unless your a lucky son of a bitch...

so the zx10r front forks are shorter? will the hohey fit them?

i agree...
im jus curious what changed from 03-04 to 05-06 forks that make them stronger?
i seen the bolt on bottom that bolts fork leg to the bottom cast piece... is it diffrent on new bikes?

i figured the zx10r would be a bigger bolt or stronger in some way an save me from a concrete sandwich

No one answered my question... haha

Isnt the reason the forks were snapping because those bolts were loose?

Re: 636 front end problems

kyle just get a set of 05-08 636 forks and rotors and be done with it. leave your 03-04 triple on and just put the forks in. you can use your wheel, calipers and triple
