Re: how old were you?

Spent about 2 hours on my buddies 98 Yami 250, then got on my first F4i. I was scared shitless at first, but in love at the same time. I had just turned 18.

10-13 cr 80

14-16 kx 125 started racing desert

16-17 started working for a honda dealer which led to alot of bikes

84 gs 550
03 xr 50
99 yzf 400
97 xr 250 (got for $200)

Re: how old were you?

14... my brother had a 93 F2 that he just finished rebuilding after he wrecked it going through the twisties doing about 55 through a long sweeping turn. He told me the typical **** when I got on it, "Don't go fast, don't leave the neighborhood" blah blah blah.... took it for a 30 minute joy ride. HAHAHAH

Re: how old were you?

I grew up riding quads and dirtbikes. I got the chance to ride my first streetbike in 10th grade, an old kawi 900 I wanted to buy it,but at that age $1,200 was out of my price range. Around 96 I got my first streetbike an 88 cbr 600, I loved clutchin up sitdowns and dippin on the local cops, I took the bike with me to FLA went MMI and rode the steets and highways of orlando and daytona for a year. I sold that bike in FLA. Then In 99 I got a new zx9, fresh out the crate working at a dealership. I began doing standups and rolling endos on that, I learned highchairs,spreaders,12's idle, and RB all on that. Now its all come back to a 600, an 04 636 which is great for RB, idle , and circles. So look what happens after " the first time you swing your leg over a streetbike" you never stop swingin it over, I'l probly stunt til early -to mid 40's ,then maybe get a cruiser?

Re: how old were you?

I started on dbs when I was a kid. got on a brand new Hurricane in 87/88 I can't recall. It was too much bike for me, it felt like a pig at first, but a fast pig.

I was nervous as hell, and I'd never felt that electrified feeling in the pit of my tummy before. I didn't get it past 3d gear the whole first day.

since having kids, taking a few years off, and developing a disorder that makes my spine fall apart I am unsure and too cautious to be any good as a rider. I miss it so much though. I finally got to the point where I realized I had so much to learn, and now I risk instant paralysis trying to learn. before I figured my many years putzing around the trails meant I knew everything.

and the fucked up part is, I still want to learn. SO BAD. tall endos, circles and acros.

but my first real streetbike i got at 19.. and then it was on and off from there. i never really rode daily until i got my f4 at close to 20.. i still miss that bike. i could hit corners waaaay better than i can on the 929.. i guess on the current niner i have wack throttle control but i'm workin on it

but yea turning to the right at first i had the most akward feeling, i kinda got over it but i still dont really like turning right i really dont know why

Re: how old were you?

when I was like 5 my pops got me on a xr50 rode that for little while then moved right up to a 80cc dirtbike while later then a 125 for couple years then sold that when I was 15 rode my dads 250 til I was 16 and bought a 86 honda sabre 1100 sportcruiser. rode that for a summer. then got into roadracing and raced a SV 650 but only road it on the track. then I got an 07 r6 last year when I was 19 for the street adn then discovered stunting. now I just picked up a 04 gsxr 6 this spring for my stuntpiece. good times, I just wish I would of found stuntin way sooner

But I learned how to wheelie on my fourwheeler and then that help alot moving over to streetbikes.

I was told that's because of the sprocket placement, the tire is beeing turned from the left side, which pulls the bike to a more natural feeling left, and makes the right feel like you have to fight it a bit.

sounds true, but I have believed some total bullshit before, and am mechanically ...not the brightest.

Re: how old were you?

I was 16 first time I rode my friends F1 huricane.. Hit 50mph the first ride and thought it was "FAST".. Took 4 rides before I even took his bike above 8,000rpm.. Once I got over 8,000, I knew I had to have one..
At 17 I got my first bike, $800 95 fzr600

my 2 cents is thats probably bs haha, as long as your axle adjusters work, and your axle is tight, your wheel will pull straight, and you can't tell where the powers coming from (at least I think)

Its weird because I turn right the best haha.. But thats mainly because the only twisties I hit, I hit daily on the way to my friend, and its a clover leaf.. Real easy to get low on a clover leaf, when you have 4 LONG turns to get lower and lower in
