I think everyone should quit riding and start jerking each other off because you all sound like homos, **** it lets just ride, I dont give a **** how much any of you *** clowns make, Its more grattifying to me to throw down a good sunday session and learn some new stuff with everyone else that rides having a great time too, thats worth more than any money to me. oh and about the getting paid thing, there is no reason any decent rider should not get paid to do a show, we are damaging our bikes and could hurt ourselves, I think all he was trying to say is dont undercut someone on a show because then people will start taking advantage of what we do and not pay us because some goons will do a damn half *** show for free....................

Like i told you on the phone. Ryan deserves a ton of credit for setting that market up for people to do this in if it wasn't for ryan the shows wouldn't be open for the taking..... as for a free ride over there I took it once just to go to motogp had a blast ended up getting paid the rest of the times to go play for months on end in the orient.... this last trip i knew it was my last so i just lived it up. I'm happy some other people in the industry are getting a chance to make a name for themselves. HOWEVER ryan worked his *** off to get back into the condition he is in after his wreck.. I hate to use his disability an example but it is. Ryan worked hard as F*^K to make it to china this year and i can vouch rode amazing for being on a bike only a week or so before we left. I would expect if he's getting the boot for a few riders he would be pissed. I did however explain that you should have gave ryan a courtesy call, email, pm first. that would have probably made both parties more professional that what you guys look like arguing over who did and got what. its done its over settle your differences. Ryan should be among the other parties going back if there is more than rider going he's worked hard.

 

not gonna read all 5 pages of this thread and im sorry if i repeat what others have already said but free shows are bad .

your time practicing to be good enough to do a show is reason enough to get paid never mind your time at the show itself..

what about all the tires and bike parts you went through learning , all the injury's and all the times you were hassled by the police just so you could practice and get good..

i also have the unpopular oppinion that people shouldn't give there footage away to producers that are gonna sell dvd's , if every one stopped giving it all away then it would be a hell of alot easier for every one to get paid for shows and dvd's..

if you make a clip and put it on youtube then thats your decision and i see nothing wrong with that at all but if you give your footage to a producer and he sells dvd's then you should get a cut.

We all know how hard Ryan has worked to get back on the bike and i respect that, and the fact that you keep pushing that for him,but they want what they want and i'm taking two of the best riders out there whether anyone likes that or not. We're being paid to put on good shows (not saying Ryan can't) and i know what works for me and my team.

and as for the courtesy call, i tried calling him and joey b back in april when i was in WI, left a couple msg's and got not return on either, so my philosophy on that is, give respect and get respect.

So everyone do me a favor and quit acting like we're the bad guys here, i didn't steal **** from noone, never have, never will, we work hard for our **** to. Not to mention that there were plenty of other riders that were jumping at that oppurtunity and admittingly come on here and said they would do it for free, i made a little money off of it and worked out a deal for the 13 weeks coming up. and to top it off, Ryan did an AMA race for free and you bash me and his excuse is that he did a favor for a sponsor and learned his lesson.... Sorry but how long have you been in this game Ryan? and you just now learning that lesson.... So you guys do your thing, i/we'll keep doing our thing.

 

other than crash footage, video shot handheld, auto iris/focus with poor audio and lousy composition isn't really worth any money. There are about 3 or 4 shooters on here that do some interesting stuff, other than that most video I've seen is the equivilent of a show where the riders do nothing but power wheelies.

 

good luck getting a 13 week china visa.....they only offer visa's for 12 weeks lol---the lies just keep rollin out your mouth!
