Alpinestars riding/stnt gear

Hello guys...

Before Ill learn how to stunt I need to get me some riding gear,
I hope not to crash much in my practices , but still I need some good riding gears.

I saw a few parts in alpinstars.com that I think will be good for stunt practices, and riding in general,

I have a new shoei rf-1000 helmet , Icon leg field armor , and a few alpinstars gloves.

What I dont have , and need , is good riding shoes and jacket for practice,

What do you guys think about the gears ?

Alright, scratch the shoes... you don't need those expensive shoes. When it comes to shoes, I would recommend a good pair of skater shoes like DC's, AVS, even old school Airwalk. I personally like Nike Shox b/c I can really feel the brake with my toe through my shoe, but Shox won't protect me AT ALL if the bike lands on my foot. The A-Stars Bionic suit is sick and WILL save you when you crash. I would also recommend shin pads... I went to a sports store and picked up some adult soccer shin pads and BELIEVE ME they have saved my shins multiple times!!!!

That's my

sniper jacket & octane boots! the octanes are much more comfortable and still offer tons of ankle protection!

I CANT wear boots when i ride. No feel for the brake means im more likely to crash, but i do like their gloves and those suits are wicked. You feel like your wearing a tee shirt/football gear although i have never crashed with mine on so i dono how they hold up, but i sure felt safe.

Well it would be nice if you could try before you buy, im reluctant to spend 200 or more (whatever they cost) on something that im not going to wear.

Re: Alpinestars riding/stnt gear

I ride with an HJC helmet, Alpinestars T-Stunt 2 jacket, and some shin guards I picked up when we were down at Stunt Wars 2008.. if your weather isn't above 70 I'd recommend the T-Stunt 2 otherwise get something not as warm

oh and Adio CKYs for shoes because they look cool.. won't do **** in a crash though

Re: Alpinestars riding/stnt gear

TNX guys,

About the jackets you all showed me, I have 2 riding jackets already,
1 is a Dainese leather jacket and one is SPIDI NL5 summer jacket,

And the weather here in Israel is warm, we got summer must of the year :YEAH

I will get the Alpinestars S-MX Bionic Protection Jacket for my practices.

All I got left is some good riding shoes,
I will not practice with any kind of sneakers, and here in Israel we dont have the shoes I want, so I cant try them

So what do you guys think will be best ?
They both look good...
