thinking about grabbin one of these cause $330 for a GPR is steep for my pocket book right now.

i know you get what you pay for but i want experienced opinions.

they are 7 click adjustable and i can get them for $170 cost here at the dealership.


are they stiff enough for rollin tall?

 

I've personally never tried one, but have heard from a couple of different people in the past who had no problems with them.

 

Hmmmm oh i just looked. Eh I don't like those piston type dampers.. That's a good price though

 

good question i was wondering the same thing.........i've run GPRs and scotts and i'm sick of going broke buying them

 

I only ran rod type dampers forever.

Then I got a Scotts.

Wont run anything else.

 

**** it. ill order it up. if its not strong enough ill put thicker weight fluid in it.

 

You really dont need it that tight for stoppies anyways. As long as there is no play

rod dampers leak! any and all brands... save your money..

 

While I do love my Scotts... I never had any problems with my Ohlins.

I did always have a tiny bit of play with my Ohlins no matter how many times it was bled, but never enough to bother me.

 

Yeah I actually shouldn't even count my Ohlins for comparison, I had one on my R1 back in 2002, when I was rolling 65ft.

 

i've had hyperpro,matris,toby,and a shindy.....all of them leaked and besides the hyper pro all had a little play... i put a GPR on with a 954 front...well see for your self,***** sweet the best damper i've owned with the best feel,even saved my *** a couple times already

 

+1 and scotts will do a complete rebuild for $13
