So I just spent the last couple hours outside in the 92 degree sun repainting my acerbis headlight cowl.

Got it painted.....started clear coating, gave it about 4 coats......let it sit for about 15 minutes.

WELL I got impatient and decided to carefully screw it back on so i could just walk away and let it dry on the bike and not have to do anything else.

I started to drop it and grabbed the front with my hand by instinct and smeared the paint all over.

SO NOW i get to wait even longer for it to dry so i can remove all that paint and re do it again tomorrow! ****!!

Sometimes I think it would just be easier to take it to a paint shop since that small *** piece would probably only cost like $50.

 

I'd give anything for a 92 degree day. It snowed in edmonton today which means what thats 34 or something i dono what the conversion is.

 

the conversion is .......snow = to ******* cold!

 

its depressing, you can't even paint when its that cold, **** wont stick.

UPDATE: went and got brake cleaner to take the paint off.....found out the hard way 1 bottle is good for 1/2 of an Acerbis cowl.

Wheeliest one of these days i will give you pleasure of powder coating all of my bike. one of these days when i have money......

I painted my fiddy plastics when it was 10 degrees out haha i didnt think it would stick but it actually ended up turning out really good. idk how but it still looks great today.

 

the dual slider mod? no i don't have it yet i need to order the extra sliders then find someone to weld it for me......actually my frame/swing arm/sub frame is what i really wanna get powdered.

I want a sexy *** black....i dunno what all you can do with powder coating but i think it would look sick with that metal flake in it then i wanna do white plastics
