Brembo Problems..

i have a brembo with a adapter on my f4i...
i flushed the brake fluid yesterday with fresh rbf600 and bled it an whatnot... same as i have done many times before... my brakes worked great an i tested in front of my house. i get to the spot an they go garbage!
when im on two wheels an pull the lever it will have pressure an be fine.
when i start doin circles after a rotation the lever will start coming to the bar. not like brake fade thou because if i pump the brakes it will keep pressure. but not normal pumping the brakes i have to pull the lever all the way out during the pump otherwise it will still keep coming to the bar.

my thoughts are i skrewed up a seal internaly somehow. an when i apply brake pressure fluids leaking past seals or someting and i dont under stand the having to pull the lever out to keep good pressure...

i mean i was comboing almost all the **** i do but jus having to do this strange brak brake pull lever out an brake again method hahaha

i dunno...
if any of this makes sense but anyone else expierenced this?

Re: Brembo Problems..

if a seal was "blown" it wouldnt work at all.. u still have air in your lines. did u gravity bleed or pump bleed/flush the system... u need ti take off ur HB mc and turn it back up right and bleed it, and bleed every banjo bolt and tap all the pieces of ur brake system with a ratchet to loosen up the air pockets.

Re: Brembo Problems..

ya i bled the **** outta it...
ive never had this problem... foot brake works fine...
and when i had air before it defiently didnt feel like this... thats why i was thinkn it was something else...
normally there just mushy if i have air...
but they feel gangster for a few circles then start suckn in to the bar but still have gangster pressure as its coming to handlebar an then i jus pull it out like mid circle an its got gangster pressure again... ive never had thatt happen with air in the system, its only been straight garbage...

Re: Brembo Problems..

ruin parts/mc/caliper would be consistent failure. so when u do a wheelie either you're mc resivor is letting air in or u have to much fluid in your resi..

Re: Brembo Problems..

i tend to go along with wheeliest on this one ..

make sure there are no kinks in the line that goes from the res to the master and make sure that when your in a wheelie the res isn't in a position that will allow air to get into that line

fluid needs to be able to get from the res to the master at all times and if there is a kink in the line you will have the same problem you are describing and if the res is in a position that there is no fluid getting to that line in a wheelie it could happen also

ya i hear ya on this...
but the thing is nothing has changed.. the lines not kinked...
i bled it an no bubbles were coming out.. i got gangster pressure... until i start using it alot then it starts going lame.. haha

i normally have no problem bleeding the brakes on bikes...
ill go over everything again...
my first thought was that the bleeder skrews were leaking...
so i teflon taped them... but if the bleeders were leaking it wouldnt have the great pressure it does at times...
i dunno...
grrrrrrrrrrrrr...

Re: Brembo Problems..

strange .....just so you know your really never supposed to use teflon tape on a brake system because the threads are not supposed to do the sealing on the bleeders , it is supposed to seal at the bottom of the bleader

Re: Brembo Problems..

well now u get to re bleed all the fluid out because teflon will be disolved by hydro fluid and contaminate your brake system...

Re: Brembo Problems..

if there is the slightest amount of pressure on the pin that pushes the piston in on the master it wont allow fluid to enter the master from the res and since you mentioned that pushing the lever out helped i thought may this could be the problem
